| Why is Isshuukan Friends listed as a comedy on MAL? Am I missing something here? |
| Because it has a lot of comedy - even to the point that the manga has regular pages that are 4koma jokes. It is officially labeled as comedy both by the manga publisher and the anime publisher. |

| That's strange, because I have a hard time seeing this show get any more comedy than it already has, which is to say, zero comedy. Laughing at the events we've been shown so far is akin to making fun of starving children or kicking puppies. |

If you feel there is zero comedy so far then you are simply not grasping the humor - which is totally fine but it's there, both in my own opinion and the author themselves saying so. Your name is correct, so I'm not sure why you're surprised, you have zero ability to understand humor. You're essentially saying a show like House or Scrubs can't be funny either because they involve serious health issues, death, and hard life issues so finding the jokes funny is like kicking puppies for fun. Regardless of what you feel or believe the series is factually a comedy as decided by the creator, the editor, the publisher, the publisher of the series, and so on - just like the fact it's a shounen. |

| Gonna have to agree with OP here. There were two or three moments where I giggled, but I wouldn't call this series a comedy at all. More like heartwarming. |
| The show does have comedic moments. Its not the main focus, but there are comedic elements present. |

Oh, my bad. I think I was so absorbed in other elements of the show that the comedy completely went over my head. That doesn't usually happen ;) |

| Maybe the faces in the manga are drawn to be funny. I don't want it to turn in a full comedy, i think i will be disappointed if it happens. |
