After watching all his works I have concluded that Satoshi Kon did not make one film or show that was anything less than great, both visually and conceptually.

A really great director, I only discovered his work recently finishing both Paranoia Agent and Millenium Actress yesterday. I enjoyed both of them and plan on watching the others today. Rest in peace Satoshi Kon.

"With feelings of gratitude for all that is good in this world, I put down my pen.

Well, I'll be leaving now." Satoshi Kon.

It`s so sad I want to cry... He`s been one of favourite anime directors, his works are brilliant. I just can`t believe his gone and at such age. R.I.P. Satoshi Kon. I hope we`ll at least get to see the Dreaming Maschine.

The anime industry has suffered a loss such as never before seen.

R.I.P, director Kon.

Jusenkyo, it's unconfirmed at the moment, but he likely died from cancer.

It's a tragedy.

Jusenkyo_Guide | Aug 24, 2010 6:24 PM
I'm quite upset by this .. especially as I just recently saw Tokyo Godfathers for the first time and found it to be my favorite of his films .. he was brilliant.. and only 47, too young to be gone!!

and no reports on cause of death, all I've found is the phrase "suddenly passed away" .. leads me to believe it was heart-related

just sad ;-(

This new is really depressing. It really is a sad day for the anime industry.
