Texhnolyze is hands down one of the best "mind fuck" animes imho. I really hope that Despera does live up to his other titles. If the setting is in a past era, then I wonder how fantastic it will be? |

Some past Japanese era with a girl creating strange items or something like that. Well, that's what I got from hasty checking the link and the "entry" here on MyAnimeList (Anime -> "Despera"). I guess I'll just keep waiting for something more concrete coming up before starting to get euphoric. I just hope it can keep up with my expectations, Texhnolyze was the most epic thing I've seen for ages besides GitS:SAC 2nd GIG and maybe Ergo Proxy. I'm not sure if it will become some "mind fuck" stuff like Texhnolyze or Lain, but that's what I would prefer. |

The Taisho-era steampunk setting looks like it could work well. So long as it doesn't come off as a blatant copy of Sakura Taisen, which it won't. |

I meant ABe (he wrote NieA_7 and Haibane himself, but his other series were group projects where he mostly did character art). I think this is what he said at a con panel, so there wasn't much more detail. |

ABe is working on a novel (maybe a light novel?) for Pochiyama at the Pharmacy - I think Ueda said it could be animated, but only if he wrote the whole script first. Haibane had trouble with that, which might be why its pacing was so uneven. |
