Has anyone read Toujuushi Bestialious? its a 2 chapter one shot (two shots maybe?) set in ancient Rome with awesome artwork and an awesome looking wyvern, definitely worth checking out |

True, compared to his other works Nisekoi isn't as great ad e.g. Island or Williams. But after almost two years of hearing nothing from him at all it's a nice start which only serves as appetizer for the things that hoepfully come afterwards. |

Read the one-shot; it was passable, occasionally entertaining fluff, with likable characters, but also as predictable, saccharine sweet, and cliched as they come. Naoshi Komi is capable of much bigger and better things. |

Okay, after an especially long hiatus (3 months), I decided to put up a one-shot. I haven't read it yet, but it's by one of my favorite one-shot authors, Naoshi Komi, so I have decent expectations. Check it out, and leave your comments. |

I'm less active on this site, but I will take the blame on not updating more often; I read less manga these days, and have a hard time finding quality one-shots. If anyone wants to step up with fresh suggestions and manga spotlights, I'm all for it. |

Hey everyone, I know this club has been pretty slow, but honestly I just don't have the time to be updating it every week anymore -- and it seems neither does YoungVagabond.So I will throw this out there to anyone: If you are interested in helping the club, send me a pm. If it's too hard to choose a oneshot every week, every other week or month is fine. Between classes, and job searching I don't quite have the time to keep this club as active as i'd like, and i'd hate for it to become dead again. |

After an extended hiatus, there is finally a new One Shot of the Week! Thanks to a solid recommendation by Einvera, I found "Straight no Chaser", a funny, well-written little manga, which isn't on Mangatraders, but can easily be found on Mangaupdates and the scanlation group that translated it, linked above. It's simple and predictable, and really could have done without the the second half of the romance subplot, but it has some funny moments, the main character has an endearing personality, and it's one of those "vocational manga" that really conveys the passion of its subject, in this case jazz. Check it out. |

Yeah, grave apologies for myself being MIA; I just had a ton of things going on in my life, and try as I might, couldn't find any quality shounen/seinen!As for Duds Hunt, it is one of my absolute favorite short manga; I thing it's legitimately great. In fact, I previously spotlighted "Awakened Dreams", the one shot that at the end of "Duds Hunt", which was also terrific. |

hmm i'll check it out!!! I've decided that i feel like onevolumes are short enough to spotlight, because i'd rather share quality stuff that might not be technically a oneshot, over a really boring actual oneshot. |

@ katsup - ever read duds hunt? its not exactly a one-shot i think it has like 4 chapters? (tho the site i read it as was just all 4 chaps combined so it kinda of was like a oneshot) its pretty good and worth a read i think so. |
