"I hate to break this news, but I have it on good authority that all work at Digital Manga has effectively stopped. The chances of the current Tezuka KS being fulfilled at this point is practically zero. Hardly surprising, but still disappointing, to say the least."

DMP is relaunching the Kickstarter for Wonder 3 this coming Monday. Add-on books that aren't stretch goals include The Thief Inoue Akikazu; Yakeppachi's Maria Omnibus; Dust 8 Omnibus; The Euphrates Tree; Say Hello To Bookila Omnibus; Metamorphose; and Ambassador Magma Omnibus.

Checked in at DMP and they had some new Tezuka titles out. "The Shinsengumi" is in the database, two other newbies plus a previously successful Kickstarter title weren't. "Lemon Kid," same in Japanese, is an American west shoot'em up. "Leo the Lion Cub," or "Leo-chan" is clearly related to "Jungle Taitei," but in this Leo goes to Japan to learn about humans. "Storm Fairy" is the previous Kickstarter title, Japanese name appears to be "Arashi no Yousei." It's a collection of three unrelated shot stories.
I am uncertain how to add titles to the database, so I'll leave this info to another member's capable hands.

DMP's copy on Record Of The Glass Castle is "In the “Glass Mansion,” a family has been frozen in Cryosleep for 20 years. When the oldest son Ichirou awakes, the family starts to fall apart… All because of a critical side effect that lead to the national ban of Cryosleep. How far will Ichirou go in order to regain the life he lost?" Kinda vague.
Looking through Tezuka's collected works, I think the Japanese title might be Glass no Shiro no Kiroku.

There is like no information on Record Of The Glass Castle, so I can see why it isn't in the DB. When I was still a manga moderator I added something like 90% of the Tezuka manga titles in the DB that we have today. But there are just some titles that are hard to find any info on. Even the official Tezuka website only lists the title name with no further information.

Though, I have backed the kickstarter for all the books.

14 more days left on DMP's kickstarter for Under the Air (Kuuki no Soko). They already have enough funds for a successful campaign. The newest add on is a volume entitled Record Of The Glass Castle, which I can't find in the database. Only $14US for a digital copy of both.
They're still far away from the stretch goal of publishing Melody of Iron (Tetsu no Senritsu).

I think I'll be picking this up.

Saboten-kun/Mr. Cactus is in the DB now.

Brand | Jun 18, 2015 7:39 AM
I've submitted Mr. Cactus (as Saboten Kun) to the database. Hopefully, it will be added soon.

I found info on the Tezuka in English website: http://tezukainenglish.com/wp/osamu-tezuka-manga/manga-m-s/mr-cactus-manga/

I was over at DMP and purchasing some of their Tezuka e-pubs, and one of them I can't find in the MAL database for the life of me. The English title is Mr. Cactus: it's about a cowboy who gets wild when he drinks. Milk, that is. If I'm reading the publisher's information page correctly, it was published in Japan in 1951 as Saboten-kun. Anyone know anything about it?

Not sure how often people check this, but in case anyone missed it. There's a campaign to translate the Alabaster manga in English. As of this posting it's got about 5 days left...

A little curious why this isn't in the relations. I would kill someone for a copy of it!

That's pretty awesome, Karchan. Although I have no clue how much publishing manga cost, that seems like an awful lot of money to ask for. But maybe I just don't know much about the manga business.
