The Gambling Grand Prix

Information

Rules:

1. Treat this minigame the same way you’d treat any other spectator chat, and don’t discuss any game events outside of it.

2. Each player starts out with 10 chips. Chips are the currency of this resort, and can be wagered in order to win... more chips !

3. Each phase change, a new series of bets (Daily Bets or Nightly Bets) will be made available. Players may wager any number of chips on these gambles, and the bigger the risk, the bigger the payoff. Check the Betting Thread for more information.

4. There is no limit on how many bets can be placed at the same time -- it's encouraged to diversify so that you don't lose all your money at once. 

5. No backsies: once a bet is placed, it's set in stone.

6. Let us now dissect how a bet will look like. Take a look at this example:

Daily Bet #01: Initial T
Effect: Name a player who hasn’t already been named on a previous phase. If that player’s alignment is Town, you win the bet.
Payout: 1.5x

The effect is pretty self-explanatory, simply follow the instructions and you will win the bet if you meet the conditions. Since this is a Daily Bet, it will be resolved at the start of the next Night.

To find out how many chips you would win, multiply the payout by the number of chips wagered. For example, if I wagered 5 chips on a bet with a payout of 2x, I would get back a total of 5 * 2 = 10 chips.

If I wanted to place this bet, and wager 5 chips that Crossbell is town (because he always is), it would look something like this:

Bet #01: Crossbell, 5 chips

7. In addition, at the start of each Day a special Bonus Bet will be made available. Unlike normal bets, Bonus Bets don’t require an initial wager, and have a flat payoff.

8. The house reserves the right to cancel any bet that uses inside knowledge or knowledge based on the results of previous bets.

9. Finally, have fun and enjoy your stay ! This is mandatory.

@SuzakuTsubasa Thanks for the offer, yeah that sounds great ! Honestly I'd love to work on a larger version of this game that hopefully goes on for longer. I'd also like to work on some more concrete things for people to gamble on instead of grasping at straws in the late game.

I'm always working on a ton of setups at once but I'll definitely get back to you on this ! (Or feel free to get back to me if you have any ideas)

It's true that the game was quite short, but I think it was rather short last time too?
I wonder if this would work with a longer game. When we've guessed the mafia team, there would be only roles to guess. Maybe trains too?

If you want some help for a future game, don't hesitate to call~
I can always stop gambling and try to lend a hand.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to be active enough to manage this game as well as the mafia game by myself. (If you remember last time Dono bailed me out by handling the gambling side of things). I'll make sure not to do that next time.

I definitely have some changes in mind on how to make things more streamlined next time. I also think the bingo idea went well in the beginning, but since the game was kind of short no one actually finished.. Maybe next time it should be a 4x4 square instead of 5x5 and change at the start of every Day.

Anyways, hope you all enjoyed, and congrats to Starcrazed for being our ultimate winner !

Kiiruma might protect him and even if he doesn't, that would give credit to his claim.

Inactivity rules say there's a prod then a modkill/replacement so I guess Togs will try to find a replacement during this night and modkill him next day if there is none?
