The adventures of a whiny teenage Miyamoto Musashi, his electro-sword and demon-sealing revolvers, and his quest to win the love of the beautiful Kaguyahime.

Produced on a notoriously high budget, the series has been famous for intricate, high quality animation, and has attracted a mainstream following for this reason. It uses lush, detailed, hand-painted backgrounds, and its sound effects are in complete harmony with the animation.
