His birthday is 4 November, and his star sign is Scorpio. He is based upon the main character from Dazai Osamu's "No Longer Human", which is both Nozomu's and the author's favorite novel. Itoshiki-sensei's homeroom class consists of bizzarre students with their own quirks, including a ridiculously optimistic girl, an hikikomori, a stalker, an illegal immigrant, and a girl always covered in bandages.
