TL;DR: I use a 5 - 10 rating system. I rate mostly based on enjoyment and how good I think the animation and plot execution are.
8 and above - Recommended 7 to 6 - Neutral 5 and below - Not recommended
I rate anime according to how memorable and/or enjoyable they are to me. I don’t need such a complicated story, but if I get to empathize with the characters or the story, that’s enough for me. Although sometimes there is a plus if I consider it has something special about it.～ Me, 2021.
When it comes to anime ratings, I don’t use criteria or percentages. I use enjoyment as the central part of my rating, but I also value quality.
10 - Superb / I loved it.Very enjoyable, remarkable and well made. Only for anime that made an impression on me because they are exceptionally enjoyable. Other than that, it's very well executed and made, so I don't have to objectively take any points away from it. Not only that, but it is so outstanding that I can absolutely recommend it.
9 - Great / I loved it.Very enjoyable and well made. Although it may not be remarkable, this score is given if the anime made me have a good time watching it and the quality pairs as well. I would recommend it.
8 - Good / I liked it.Enjoyable and well made. This is a "good" anime. Either it could be a better made anime or it could be more enjoyable. It did or had something that exceeded my "normal" rating. I could recommend it.
7 - Decent / I liked it.Well made. This is what I call "average". This anime manages to get by and is well done enough that it can be somewhat enjoyable. It's balanced enough to be a recommendation if you want something to watch.
6 - Ehh / No opinion.Average. It's watchable, but it may lack quality, or it just didn't connect with me. I wouldn't recommend it, but I wouldn't make you avoid it either.
5 - Mediocre / I didn't like it.Not worth it. Simply put, either the quality is poor or it was just not my cup of tea.
4. Dropping / I hated it.Waste of time. This also applies to 3, 2, and 1 scores. If something reaches this score, I may have already dropped it because I couldn't handle how awful it is, at least for me. It could be something really badly made or bordering on unwatchable. I wouldn't recommend it and would warn you to avoid it.
