Astarotte no Omocha!

Astarotte no Omacha! is an isekai, yes an isekai from 2011, so we follow the MC Noaya and his daughter start the day by him finding a new job, while his daughter is at school. He encounters the Yggdrasil tree transporting him into new territory and meets Lotte. In the other side of that world, Lotte one day wanted to find a partner, but she was disgusted at Men from her world (from past events in life). An accident occurred in the tree leading her to accidentally teleport to a world connected to Noaya, so she opened a portal, not knowing that it would lead ... her to a new partner. this just a little insight on what the plot is.

Story was well, not the best but it shined at times.
Art was something from 2011, I did not expect much.
Sound was below average, it played the same music in more emotional scenes. Not sure why but that annoyed me.
The some of the more important characters had the development most and it was a cute but very lewd anime, I mean it is an Ecchi.

Overall, Its a 70/30 for me, I liked it, but another part of me did not like it.

I'm going to make this short so we can all move on with our day.

The show isn't that bad, but more uncomfortable than anything. The story isn't a main priority in this show and relies more on the fan service and characters to keep it afloat WHICH ISN'T ALWAYS BAD IN ANIME! The characters though I FEEL didn't grow as well beyond Astarotte and arguably Naoya. As a result most of the other characters are just there to fill some kinda role. This could be anything from cutesy, comedic (most of the time), or just straight fan service. The music wasn't anything to right home ... about. It did it's job and just added to the feel of the show, but no tracks really stood out for me. The OP and ED I skipped everything so take that as you will. The animation and art style in this show is probably it's best point. Granted, it aint nothing spectacular but it shines where it needs to.

In the end what im trying to say is this show is enjoyable.

However.....

The use of loli characters to use for the purpose of fan service and the "romance" aspect of this show made it relatively uncomfortable to me to watch regardless of how enjoyable the show is anywhere else. It's a uncomfortable feeling I haven't dealt with since kodomo no Jikan. So if you like sexualized loli characters in anime you will probably love this.

I'd probably tell anyone to skip it or watch the first 2 episodes to judge if it's for you.

Story: so the story pretty much starts out with Lotte who is ten and now with her coming of age and being a succubus she has 2 start making a harem or atleast find a guy for her harem that of course she has a problem with because she does not like guys she a guy named Naoya comes into the fold after being sent into her world by a tree also it wont stay there until he can have is daughter is there and also the fact (dont wanna spoil much) that he had a kid when he was 13 yup lol but otherwise ... look at myanimelist thing of it and thats pretty much the anime

Art: art was good nothing bad about it

Sound: i wont download the Op or Ed at all didnt really care for them that much ohterwise everyone sounded good

Character: will first state that all the side characters were good otherwise lets get into the main. Nayoa is actually a pretty cool and nice guy he does eventually grow on Lotte and of course without having there moments at the start of the anime. Lotte is the main girl and is the one who hates men (again wont spoil why you gotta find out in the anime) but she a pretty care free and normal succubus. Asuha is pretty crazy for a 10 year old she barely wears in panites and often gets on lotte bad side but yeah she pretty care free aswell.

Enjoyment: honestly i personally didnt enjoy this anime that much easily read the person that a review for (pretty sure they gave it a 6 and a 2) that pretty much whats wrong with it SO many plot holes and also the hit and miss (atleast for me) the comedy just gives that "ill just watch it this time and forget about it"

Overall: giving this a 6 the comedy was a hit and miss i did enjoy this but not to a extent personally this was a more of a sit back anime like sit back relax and enjoy i personally wont ever watch it again but this anime is decent

The premise caught my attention in a WTF is this kind of way so I thought I would give it a watch. You know what, despite the premise the four first episodes are pretty freaking wholesome, even tho in the back of my mind the premise was constantly bugging me. How the fuck ever I dropped this show half through episode 5 because(spoiler i guess) the mother of the lead female, who is a 10 year old succubus, Raped the male lead when he was 13 years old, then leaves him with their rape baby 3 years later when he is 15, and the show ... has him Fucking thanking her for it. Are you freaking kidding me. Not much of a review but this show because of that alone is hot fucking garbage and you shouldn't watch it at all.

Its a good show in surprisingly weird ways.

But its tags here are completely misleading, it should probably be considered slice of life instead of romance.
It is slice-of-life because it focuses on random daily shenanigans and ignores any overall plot for the majority of the show - 90% of plot development happens in the last 6 minutes and during the credits of the last episode.
Any semblance of romance in it is better interpreted as just a parent-child-like relationship.
And in some ways it might be better for your sanity to not even consider it ecchi - it is full of jokes about panties and/or the ... lack thereof, but mostly on 10yo kids, and MC and all other grownups around treat it as just a stupid kid's quirk. Watch it for the laughs, not for the lewds, or at least claim so in public.

If you align your expectations with the points above, I think the show will not disappoint and can be rated as "good".

The biggest disapointment with this show is the synopsis, with is very misleading to the point of false advertising. If after reading the provided summary you were expecting to appease some loli-bukake fetish you fallen into the trap as well. I'll put it this way; There's more hot action in the Disney animated movie "Peter Pan", from the '40s. This show would be much better received if the script writers had changed the few references to the collection of "the life seed from men" to instead perhaps something akin to marriage, and covered the handful of bare bottoms a bit more than ... they already have been, then the show could have dropped the ecchi pretense completely and attracted a much wider audience, and likely much better sales.

The story that actually is here (had it been presented more honestly) is actually pretty good. It's mostly about a young schoolgirl who really needs a positive male role model, and finally has one placed in front of her. From then on, it's a getting to know you story, for her and him, her new friends, and reconciliation with her estranged mother. All rather sweet and heartwarming, and quite cute.

As far as production goes, really better than it needs to be, especially the voice cast. The lead members of the cast are staples of the Japanese voice over community, with some of the most famous characters in anime within their collective credits (Aisaka Taiga to name just one). However, it seems the prime cast is under achieving here, either due to the shallow scripting, or dispassionate directing or both.

Overall, it was a nice series, just not the series it claimed to be. Heck, even the title characters official guardian pushed the sex stuff more than once and the third MC was a closet nudist... but it never happened. Not even a proper kiss. Oh well, on to the next one...

I watched this series after browsing through MAL for trash. I saw this, read the description, and figured it couldn't be anything BUT a dumpster fire. However, it disrupted my expectations: the first 6 episodes of the show are, surprisingly, wholesome. But, after the characters have all been introduced and the series continues, it becomes clear that the writers didn't have any ideas for what to do with them. Each character boils down to a trope, which isn't necessarily a problem on it's own. However, besides being totally 2-dimensional and not showing any growth at all, the main female lead is... annoying. She just started ... to grate on me with her bitchy tantrums every single episode.... I think that the series had the potential to be funny, but a ham-fisted approach to comedy, predictable episodes, and characters that are worse than boring-- annoying-- made me put this series down disappointed.

The first princess is told to add a male to her female-only harem, with the idea of preparing for when she matures. This harem is pretty people, not any actual sex, more people to deal with her own abandonment issues from her mother. As a succubi, though she needs a man or man when matures to keep youth, beauty, life.

Unfortunately, the messenger from her kingdom pretty much grabs the first guy she sees, offers him a large amount of money, to play the man who wins the princess's heart and needs her his life seed and he will continue to cash ... in.

So we have a 23-year-old, father of a 10 year being moved to a castle with generally a 10-year-old princess, not creepy at all; and her attaches. As well as the monetary compensation, he asks his daughter can come.

Its harem'y will be a bit creepy for some a 10-year-old in panties and negligee and the general vibe this is a pedos dream, but also how whether for money or love the 23 year is happy he may one day be ploughing a 10 year old. Sadly we know is the anime method where they like teens, tweens, and pre-teens for their ecchi, so easy to become immune.

As he breaks down her defenses and tries to fix some of the issues facing her, initially ending with punishment and degradation, which even the daughter wants to walk away from. We find more about both our MC's daughter, and the processes issues, and the affect on the realm it has when they stay too long.

It wasn't for me, but others will love it, especially creepy people

I watched this anime only because I heard the ED on an anime playlist and fell absolutely in love with it. The story sounded terrible but it's only 12 episodes long so I figured why not. Let's start with the good points; like I mentioned, that soundtrack. The ending song should be up there in anime karaoke, it is truly one of the sweetest, loveliest songs I've ever heard. Also, strangely enough, I actually didn't hate any of the characters. Most of the time, I usually end up disliking a character and I ESPECIALLY CANNOT STAND TSUNDERES. Particularly Kugimiya Rie-voiced tsunderes (she's great but her ... tsundere characters are all literally the same character). Strangely, I didn't actually dislike the main tsundere girl as much as I normally would. The bright perky friend who's loved by everyone and cheerful no matter what I also normally don't like for being dumb as bricks but this one (Asuha) actually had some sense, so not bad. The characters, the music, the art.... wonderful. The 3 points I gave for 'Overall' is literally to those 3 points: characters, sound, and art.
Now the bad, which trumps all of this. SHE IS TEN. SHE IS TEN AND THE WHOLE POINT OF THIS SHOW IS ABOUT HER NEEDING TO SUCK OFF A 23 YEAR OLD. WHO BY THE WAY, HAS A DAUGHTER WHO IS LITERALLY HER AGE. I thought it would at least be kinda like "Oh maybe it's just like she'll end up having a crush on him and he'll reject her but she'll learn to grow from it" or something but no. HE CONFESSED TO HER TOO. And you know what, maybe if it was even like a sweet looking romance like CardCaptor Sakura, I could pretend, but the show is literally about how she's supposed to suck his d*ck. Yeah NOPE.

A beautiful age-gapped romance that isn't afraid to push social stigma and boundaries!

The plot is obscenely brilliant. It also has plenty of much needed fan-service.

Personally, I would give this a 9.5 / 10. If not for the plot, then for the underlying theme of the entire series. It's bold, unapologetic in it's context matter.

That being said, this series is not for the easily offended, or those who have moral dilemmas against age-gapped relationships. But, if you're a cultured person, you should very well enjoy this!

Critically speaking, this anime is a bit cliche with it's "whoops, slipped into a portal to another dimension by mistake" but ... that's to be expected at this point.

The only way I'm even able to go through watching this is because I'm watching it with my friends. I literally made an account just to talk about how much I hate this anime. It may look like a fun happy cutesy story somebody can watch and have a pretty good time. But really its just boring, disgusting, and is basically pedophilia. The only way you can enjoy this is if you basically ignore the fact that this anime is about some twenty-year-old guy (who for some reason has a female voice actor?) who basically has to get it with a bunch of little girls. ... It also has some other dude who falls in love with the protagonist (who is a little girl) and he's much older than she is. There's a whole bunch of other examples I could put out here to prove how disgusting this anime is but I think I've proved my point. There's also a bunch of panty shots and what not of little girls but that's not why I hate this anime. What really grinds my gears is two things. The First being the fact that they basically make light of the whole story in which a 10-year-old girl needs to get a harem of men including the male protagonist who has a daughter (what?!) who is also around 10 years old. Whats even more baffling is the fact that he's in his early twenties meaning he had her when he barely started puberty! I won't write any spoilers but let's just say "A much older female was enjoying herself with a young boy and a surprise came from it" Anyways back to the portrayal of all this, the anime tries to make it seem like all the disgusting crap that happens in this anime is normal and okay but really its not, everyone knows its not (in real life that is). Of course, there's the argument that its a comedy so of course it's light-hearted, but that doesn't make up for the pedophilia. Also every episode they try to hit you with a sentimental moment but you really feel nothing from them and you just want it to stop because of how boring and stale it is. And with all the pedophilia and what not its impossible to take this serious to any degree, which makes the sentimental moments that much worse. Most of the jokes are pretty stale(in my opinion) though I did laugh at a few of them. And THEY CONTINUE WITH ALL THE PEDOPHILIA SO MUCH. I wish I could take it as a joke but this isn't just a one time thing its literally the entire foundation of the entire anime! Honestly, the only good thing about this anime is the art, it's well done and it looks great (visually). The sounds okay, I mean there was nothing that really put me in awe but it wasn't as god awful as the actual content. I'd say watch at your own peril, the only sexual parts of this anime are the lewd lolis which I personally don't enjoy, but hey if it floats your boat... In my opinion, I'd say stay away from this anime, even if all the anime in the world was completely eradicated and this was the only one left I'd still say its a waste of time. This isn't the thing I hate most in the world but this anime is a stale piece of bread with boring characters and a boring story, and the pedophilia is added dog feces. There are plenty of great anime out there you can watch, trust me when I say you won't be missing anything if you dont watch this. I said it before, Ill say it again, I absolutely hate this anime, but if you wanna watch it anyways I wont stop you... (But dont watch it)
