Both anime is about how glasses aren't just a tool to see and how much more important they are.

If you're a person who likes cute things, simple joy, and light humor, then you will enjoy Megane na Kanojo. However, the basic stories are lacking in amazement or inspiration from the characters. In Love Live!, there are qualities about the characters that are admirable, yet very common. Females are portrayed with honesty, and the show has much more humorous scenes surrounding this large group of friends.

The first episode of Megane and Bunganko Shojo are both about boys who join a literature club because of a girl. :)

Both tell short love-stories that are only related due to something (glasses in "megane na Kanojo" and the story of the diamonds dust drops in " diamond dust drop")
