Studio DEEN once asked: "Could you tell me you love my real self?" The answer to that is currently a resounding NO. Granted, it is indeed hard to make a good anime when 95% of the budget is allocated to sound production, but they could at least try.

Story - 4

Really - it's based off a visual novel series. It's not terrible, but it's leaps and bounds from being considered original. Tsukiko Yahisa is the only female student at a previously all-male school. There's really not much to be said in this ... department.

Art - 2

This is where the series really falls short. The original character designs are very appealing, but when most of the static animation is lip flaps, there's really not much to be said. Awkward camera angles, unnecessary camera pans to hide budget cuts, nobody blinks, etc. It's more of an Original Net Slide Show than anything, and it's terribly obvious. The majority of the animation in the eleven minute episode occurred during the ending sequence (which was already bogged down by the horrendously distracting Engrish). Most assuredly the worst aspect of the anime.

Sound - 9

Holy hot dicks from hell! Forget the generic music, this series has the voice acting cast of the Gods! It would be folly to get into detail. Just check the voice cast list and prepare to soil your panties.

Character - 8

Easily the most selling aspect of the franchise. Each star sign has it's own persona, and with so many, there's little chance of NOT being enamored with at least one of them. While each character is essentially a projection of a particular bishounen trope, Honey Bee does such a confoundedly good job at portraying them it's hard to care. Megane, Genki Guy, Genki Kid, Kaichou, WANGST, Mysterious Past, Childhood Friend, Delinquent - the list goes on. While the amount of cliche is a bit appalling at times, the characters are incredibly enjoyable.

Enjoyment - 5

Certainly not a chore to watch, but not exactly fun either. The episodes are short and full of bishounen - your eyes won't bleed or fall out. You might get bored though, especially if you've never played the games.

Overall - 5

A fan-pandering adaptation. Just go play the visual novels. If you like them enough, watch this too.

This is a review on the first 6 episodes of the Starry Sky ONA. Each episode is 10 minutes. Short, but does it work. Sometimes yes, sometimes no...

Story: 6

It's not the best. If you've read the synopsis, you can tell that this will end up being a rather cheap series. A harem of 12 guys almost always leads to a cheesy disaster. Surprisingly, it's not as bad as one would think. There is always a laidback atmosphere to Starry Sky making it a easygoing slice-of-life series. Albeit boring. My favorite arc so far is Tsubasa's arc. It portrayed him well and made use of two ... 10 minute episodes. It was realistic for the most part, though it didn't manage to fully escape the cheese that plagues this series. There really isn't much really romance in Starry Sky despite its title. The first arc, Yoh, was the only one in which Tsukiko is a romantic interest. Speaking of that particular arc, I suggest you to just skip it. Really. When I first watched this series, Yoh's arc was what almost made me drop it. It's just terrible. Just skip it. Tsubasa's arc, which follows Yoh's, is much much better. Kanata's arc wasn't as good as Tsubasa's but it was still enjoyable and again, did not have much romance. Still, however good Tsubasa's and Kanata's arc was, this show really does not make optimal use of 10 minutes. The pacing is wonky and despite only being 10 minutes long, the story tends to drag. A lot.

Art: 6

I was stuck with this rating. The character designs were drawn by Kazuaki and are therefore very nice to look at. Kanata's hair is especially a source of win. However, the characters are often drawn off model and sometimes just look ridiculous and ugly. In addition, there is very little animation. In effect, there's just flapping mouths, no blinking, a lot of background shots, and little movement. This anime's more like a slideshow with a drama CD voice over. Studio Deen was never a bunch of animators, more like a bunch of artists. However, they couldn't make this series look good, despite the little animation and lots of still images.

Sound: 8

The music for the OP and ED are both instrumental and short, but they're decent. Very average, but decent. But what makes up for it is the amazing cast of voice-actors. If you go down the list, I'm sure you will find someone you know. This anime has most of the top male voice actors in Japan right now and they make the show much more high-quality. The monologues in Starry Sky can be long and boring, but since it's these guys who are saying them, it's not as bad. ^^

Character: 6

Given 10 minutes per episode, there really isn't much time to flesh out the characters well. However, each character has a distinct personality, a distinct objective, and a distinct past. Two 10 minute episodes are dedicated to each character. The first episode tends to be about their past and objective. The second usually wraps it up by either having the character complete their objective or reflect on their objective. Excluding Yoh, the characters have so far been realistic and enjoyable. Once again, however, there really isn't enough time to flesh them out and they all end up somewhat flat and one dimensional. Tsukiko being the worst as she has little backstory and a very cliche harem lead personality. Very plain. But, it's not too bad since she's really only a background character for the most part. And it seems that she will get fleshed out through the other character's arc since we learn more about her in Kanata's arc. But we will definitely not get any more information on the first three guys and they are all flat, but enjoyable.

Enjoyment: 6

Given the not-so-great art that gives me a headache, cheesy, slow story, and flat characters, it's very hard to like this series. However, somehow, it does make up for it. The voice actors are superb and are reason enough for watching their series, the character designs themselves are still pleasant, and the story doesn't come out as bad as it would seem to be at first glance. It's a very average series that I only watch when I am bored, but it's not a bad way to pass time. However, once again, I will say it again. Skip. Yoh's. Arc.

Every time I see the new anime season chart with all the shows on it, I always tell myself that I'm not going to watch another one of those unoriginal and boring school romantic-comedies. But yet again, I find myself adding another to my "watching list". This time, it would be Starry☆Sky.

Story: 4
The story is both romantic and somewhat comedic but not in an enjoyable way. Rather, the plot is cheesy and has just about every shojo cliché known to mankind. However, there are plenty of shows out there that use these clichés but are still amusing. Starry☆Sky uses them in every predictable way ... possible, making the plot terribly boring. Everytime one of the characters says something cheesy, I find myself cringing. And besides that, it's totally unrealistic. Come on, a whole school full of pretty boys and just one girl? That study astronomy and mythology all day? My favorite shows have a dose of realism in it, which Starry☆Sky has no of. But if you do find a school like there, please tell me! I wouldn't mind going there (:

Art: 8
The art was one of the only things I found good about this show. As can be deducted from the production art, the characters are all bishies except for the one main character. I'm going to be honest here; those boys are pretty dang attractive. In addition, the school uniforms are absolutely adorable and the backgrounds (buildings, etc.) are also nicely done.

Sound: 6
I had no problems with the sound in this show. The voice actors do their jobs just fine and the music is also fine. However, fine is not remarkable and there is nothing new or interesting about it. Also, there isn't really and opening or closing theme. But there are these weird 5-second long instrumentals at the beginning and ending. Is that supposed to count?

Character: 4
As keeping with the typical shojo school rom-coms, the characters suck. I may sound overly harsh but they are just plain annoying. Even though the boys are incredibly attractive, they are so unrealistically perfect that they just become irritating. Just about every word out of their mouths are about how wonderful the main female character is. While on the subject of the main female character (she's so boring, I can't even remember her name!), she's your typical shojo heroine: kind, caring, pretty and pure to a T. It's just amazing how bad it is.

So, what have I learned about Starry☆Sky from watching the first two episodes? A. It sucks. and B. It sucks. The plethora of shojo clichés makes the plot worn out and boring, the characters are giant cheeseballs with no souls and the two combined make for an incredibly boring experience. However, the art is about the only good thing about the series. So, if you're in to school romantic-comedies with pretty boys and no orginality, then this might be for you! If not, look elsewhere because this will definitely not be your cup of tea.

This is my first review, and pls, take note that my review is base as to how I rate this 10min long ONA, now, I'm not drawing any conclusions since there is still a couple of episode more to go, so here I go.

Story: 4

Ok so this ONA is suppose to be about the lone chica heroin Tsukiko who is enrolled in a recently converted coed senior high that used to be for the muchahos, but as I view this anime she seem to be only a supporting cast. Co'z this anime - well, to simply put it is all about the 12 muchahos that ... represent the 12 constellation or zodiac signs. Co'z every episode represent a plot that represents on the characteristics and fate of each zodiac signs , and I probably have nothing more to say, sorry amigos.

Art: 6

The art, though I've given it a fair rate number 6, I kinda find the art as "GAY," but then again, the character's outfits are somewhat artistically fashionable.

Overall the way the characters were drawn, kinda serve as fan service for shounen enthusiast. But, I really do find Tsukiko, very attractive, her role in the ONA serves more as inspiration for the 12 muchahos even if she only has a supporting role in it.

A very nice ONA indeed except it's only 10 to 12 min long. Don't bother looking for a manga version, co'z it seems that the authors has no plans to make one - or maybe not just yet.

At first, I was surprised that one episode only lasts for 10-11 mins. Anyways, the overall plot and everything else was so-so. Especially some of the character stories were left hanging. The graphics was not bad at all but character movements were very limited. I would totally recommend this if you're totally bored and have watched all the great anime out there or if you have no choice but to watch it because you have already downloaded/bought it, which was the case for me :|. If I would rate this anime, I would give it an average of 5. Its not that I dislike it, ... but as I said, stories were left hanging, actions were limited but I also liked how each character were connected and how their own life stories molded them as a person and all the while their surroundings, relationships, friendships make them a better person.

Starry☆Sky is an anime that is a series of Japanese otome game visual novels created and developed by the software company Honeybee. It was separated into four games, the first released in 2009, with three love interests in each, making a total of twelve possible love interests. It was well received in Japan, having Drama CDs, countless manga adaptations and a 26 episode anime adaptation. While it was revived well for many of the otome games, the anime is a swing and miss at bat.

Story: 5.19/10 (*Review Begins)
Tsukiko Yahisa is the first female student to attend Seigetsu Academy, a former all-boys school specializing in astronomy. ... She is closely watched over by her childhood friends, Kanata Nanami and Suzuya Tohzuki, who often protect her from the male student body. Throughout the anime, she befriends other young men whose personalities are based on the Western zodiac constellations. *While the plot seems captivating, it didn't keep me intrigued for very long. The herione, Yahisa is the ONLY female? While this is a reverse harem, and many people don't watch anime for it's realistic factors, the animators also claim this a "slice of life". That seems a little too exaggerated then. The episode pacing and layout are very irritating. The pacing is very slow, and episode 9 still feels as though we are at square one. The layout of meeting each boy is very repetitive, following the same layout every two episodes.
1) Small talk. 2) Flashbacks. 3) "Deppresing" back story. 4) Rather, Rinse, Repeat.
I wish I was joking. Seeing as each epsiode is 10 minutes long (sometimes feeling like 30), each boy gets to have two episodes. The layout gets old fast, and the "depressing back stories" are as far as i see it are dumb. You are half-French? Your life must be so terrible. You have a laugh that everyone makes fun of? You poor baby. While some boys have legit back stories (terminal illness sucks), they only get to those in the last few episodes so by that point, I don't care anymore. My hopes weren't that high for a story anyway, seeing as its a reverse harem (if you want to see a good one, watch Ouran Highschool Host Club!)

The art wasn't super amazing, but it wasn't a piece of garbage. The color pallet was beautifully done, and the characters on how they are animated are okay. The men and woman are attractive, but the scenery wasn't as crisp as it could be. Again had a lot of potential.

Sound: 6.45/10
The opening was horrible. It was basically a sideshow of all the guys posing and the girl walking around. While the song was a huge EW, the ending wasn't as bad. The voice acting was well done (both sub and dub) it wasn't the greatest thing I've heard. Seeing as there are 13 main characters, I thought they could've tried to shorten the beginning as much as possible as you get only 10 minuets a pop.

Character: 3.56/10
Mary-Sue alert. Our herione is one of the most cliche female lead I've ever had the unfortune to lay eyes on. She is over determined (" It's fine! I can carry this!" "Go on ahead I'm fine!") and is waaaaay to clumsy. Those aren't flaws, because in reality everyone is in the least bit clumsy. While she is the prefect girl, the guys have flaws at least. They have the DPBS Syndrome ("depressing" back story syndrome) and some of them are way to over protective. I hate all of them equally, so no I don't have a faveroite guy. Our herione is also a tinsy bit ignorant.

My enjoyment of bashing this anime is far to fun. But seriously, I actually liked it, even though everything sucked. It's like a guilty pleasure, you know how bad it is, though you keep watching. I'm not sure why, I think it's because it tried so hard to be good, and I have to give it points for that.

Overall: 5.9/10
After adding the scores, averaging the total, I get a well deserved 6. The anime wasn't that bad, but definely has some parts the made me nerd rage. I opt you give this anime a try, but don't take my word for how bad it is. I expect to get a lot of people replying "not helpful" for this review, even though I had to write this stupid review twice. Ok, so I've only just watch 3 episodes of this ONA, so here's my rating for this anime:

Story- a fair number 6.

I like the romance that occurred between Yoh and Tsukiko, even if it's only in the first 2 episodes, but then again this anime is more of a fan service for Bishonen enthusiast, since it is all about the 12 constellation which is represented mostly by Bishonens, however the fact that this ONA is a what you might call a reverse harem, I think that even if it is only 11 mins long it is still worth watching.

Art- a very good number 8.

The way ... the characters were drawn, the school uniforms and the style they sport and the setting can be be describes as fashionably gay. You can really feel that Bishonen thing coursing throughout the series of this ONA.

Sound - a fair 6.

Characters- a mediocre 5.

To me since it is set in a school, I find the character just like any ordinary teenage thing that every teenagers do. And, I do think that there is only one character that matters in this ONA and that is Tsukiko who is the game of all the 12 constellation of this reverse harem ONA.

Enjoyment and Overall- a fair number 6.

I just don't have any comment for these parts.

Ok....Starry Sky. As some of you might know, Starry Sky was originally an otome game or a dating simulator game for girls. I have not played the game so I will not talk about that aspect; just the anime. I did not really enjoy this anime much. If you love the game, great! I'm sure that it is a great game but the anime...well....meh.

Story 1/10: The story in this anime, is pretty much nonexistent. There is no middle, no climax, I'm not even sure if you would call the ending an ending. The story was basically all introduction, each character has 2 episodes where it ... talks about their backstory and what not. It disappointed me that the main heroine of the story: Yahisa Tsukiko, was barely even talked about. She is supposed to be the main character! And they don't talk about her at all?! You literally know nothing about her so I don't know how this is supposed to be a romance anime, because if you don't know anything about her why do all of the guys like her? Also, there are times when some points are just not explained, it leaves you wondering why something happened but they never address it again or explain it.

Art 10/10: The art is the upside to this anime. I can't say that the characters look bad because they don't, the anime did a good job of making every character look different, which is a challenge because there are 13 guys.

Sound 6/10: There isn't really an opening song but there is an ending song, and I guess I liked that one ok. Background music is fine.

Character 7/10: I thought that the characters were pretty well done excluding the main heroine. They each, like I said, had their own story and 2 episodes to explain that story. Even though it has some nice characters you tend to forget about them later on, because after their episodes they are not really important anymore. One character that was interesting was the student-body President, he is pretty much the only character who shows up continuously throughout the anime. He has a very interesting back story.

Enjoyment 4/10: I did really like this when I first started watching it, but after a while it started to bore me. I would have dropped this but I felt I should just finish it because I was already 12 episodes in, or more, I can't remember. To me, this was extremely boring and painful to watch.

Overall 5/10: I did not like this. It had no plot, not even a hint of intrigue. I would not recommend this to anyone unless you've played the game and really, REALLY, want to watch it. But you're better off not wasting your time with this.

***Additional Note***
Starry Sky is only 10 min per episode; that is why I originally watched this. Although its only 10 min, it feels like the longest 10 min of your life.
