Here’s a list of isekai anime that are kind of average
—not too bad, but not great either
—just decent enough to be watchable.

While some of these anime are genuinely bad, isn’t meant to generalize the entire genre. I’ve included Some of them are not widely known either. These are the kind of anime people often point to when trying to justify the idea that isekai as a genre is bad.

Watching these lower-tier isekai shows can help you understand what works and what doesn’t in the genre. There are definitely worse anime out there, and while these may not be the best, they’re still worth a watch. Ok, my bad—some of them are actually quite bad, so take caution. But don’t worry, the really bad ones are already labeled as such!

Although isekai smartphone idea was quite ridiculous I think the anime that set the trend with the most creative offering was Tensura.

Isekai as a genre has become so ridiculously saturated that in order for your light novel to be memorable, you cannot simply have someone be sent to another world and defeat the demon lord. Nowadays, there has to be a catch. Isekai, but...

Anything specific enough that has become isekai subgenre (I.E "I was reborn as the villainess" or "I have cheat-like abilities" not included unless it's a twist on that subgenre)

Anime where main character transmigrates from the modern world to an ancient world with their memories intact. In a variety of these series the main character uses modern tools, tactics, and recipes to thrive in the ancient world. Note that transmigrate in this context means to transfer, reincarnate, time travel and many other methods of getting from the modern to ancient era. Also Note that the 'ancient' world could be medieval, fantasy world or any other world that has inferior technological development and practices to the present day.

All of the series in this list have a fairly important amount of slow, relaxing and daily life content, but they do not have the slice of life tag.
If you like the aforementioned genre, this interest stack could help you find something new to watch.

Well, the MC shouldn't be too annoying or an ultimate cuck who overacts around women (I know, kinda hard to find these men in anime). Fun combat, interesting world and an OP MC, sounds fun.

That said, genres might vary, since not everything has to be about fighting. Being "overpowered" doesn't mean it's always about fighting. Some people are blessed with OP life by the luck of the draw (you know, beautiful/rich people).
