Some of these you probably haven't seen in a while. Some of these were popular for a time but faded into obscurity. Some of these you probably never heard of or even forgot about.

When I say visually insane, I'm not talking about anime with high quality animation, I'm talking about the ones that have chaotic, psychodelic, stylized, experimental and overall unusual styles.

Many of them are wholesome and/or emotional and would be great to share with family members.
I also tried to include more entry level shows that are not too “anime-esque”, tropey, full of moe etc., as I’d imagine most of the family don’t watch anime on a regular basis.

For watching with parents, I’d also especially recommend the childcare entries on this stack, I think they could find them relatable/ wholesome :)
