Synopsis

Though outnumbered after Matt and Joe rejoin the group, Piedmon reveals another of his abilities: a white cloth that turns anyone it covers into a keychain. With Andromon holding him off, the DigiDestined attempt to outrun Piedmon with some of them remaining behind to hold him off. Only T.K., with the Matt keychain after Gomamon sacrificed himself to retrieve it, Kari and Patamon remain as the rookie Digimon becomes Angemon in an attempt to hold off Piedmon so the young children could try to escape. However, Angemon is easily defeated as Piedmon proceeds to send T.K. and Kari falling to their deaths. But imagining what Matt would say while looking at his key-chain, T.K. regains his hope as it activates his crest and Angemon to digivolve into his ultimate form: MagnaAngemon. MangaAngemon then defeats Piedmon while retrieving the key chains and restoring everyone to normal. Refusing to give up, Piedmon summons his army of Vilemon to overwhelm the small group. Luckily, Mimi evens the odds with an army composing of their friends that results in a fight that ends with Piedmon sucked into MangaAngemon's Gate of Destiny. Though the last of the Dark Masters is defeated, the DigiDestined are unable to celebrate when they receive an e-mail from Gennai that reveals another enemy who is the true cause for the destruction of the Digital World.
