Both anime tell the story of a good-hearted policeman seeking promotion and his detective partner who solves mysteries in an eccentric way.

Both revolve around mystery and murder and have detectives that solve crimes with their partners.

Similarities: the same mystery themed anime, where it involves crime and the very special people who investigates it. Dissimilates: One was more on the supernatural side of crime, while the other is more on the police procedural investigation.

a pair of men solving cases on a day-to-day basis the detective figure is even-tempered, his assistant is more hot-headed the detective figure has an implied dark past the jeweler anime talks more about jewelry and "kamonohashi ron" is closer to conventional detective anime

The way Dazai controls the situation with his predictions is similar to how Kamonohashi leads people into finding the culprit. Both of them have puppets as aids.

It’s similar in the way of not knowing what to expect the first 3 episodes. Although Bungo Stray dogs is less of a slow burn and more action packed. There are mysteries needing to be solved. The main characters are very similar. It has its funny moments but as the show progresses it gets a lot more serious and great!

These two series both have to do with a duo solving mysteries. On a positive note however, Kamonoshashi Ron deals with not easily solved common sense cases unlike Shoushimin Series wasting an entire episode just to find out a guy put an entire carton of milk in the microwave. If you enjoy solving mysteries, these two series are nice mystery-solving shows.

scruffy eccentric brilliant detective in both, although in Ranpo Kitan he plays a secondary role to an even more eccentric trap teenager Kobayashi both have episodic criminal cases/mysterious incidents solving Kamonohashi Ron is quite a realistic show compared to Ranpo Kitan's abstract and bizarre cases, characters and sometimes also animation

episodic detective stories with eccentric characters (protagonists and antagonists) and references to classical japanese myste both have a bit of a supernatural element to them(Kobayashi from trickster is immortal Ron "magically" compels criminals to commit suicide), with the criminal cases shown being mostly realistic though Kamonohashi Ron's cases and plot in general are more grounded in reality overall

While differing in their core genres, they share thematic similarities rooted in psychological exploration and crime-solving narratives. Kamonohashi, known for its quirky protagonist who can communicate with animals, delves into the mysteries of human nature through unconventional investigations. Similarly, Psycho-Pass, set in a dystopian future, explores the complexities of the human psyche through the lens of crime enforcement and moral dilemmas. Both works engage with the intricacies of the human mind, unraveling mysteries that extend beyond conventional crime-solving and touching upon profound aspects of society and individual morality.

Similarities: It involves one rookie cop to another experience cop kind of relationship. Dissimilarities: One was more like copied from Sherlock Holmes, while the other was was more like based on a typical police procedural drama.
