Recommendations

While only one title uses supernatural highjinks, both are takes on the all-female Takarazuka Revue.

Both involve magic in a theatrical world.

- Both focus on performing in front of large audiences - Both have supernatural happenings alongside the core plot line - Both feature a girl who (at least initially in Dai Star’s case) cannot be seen by anyone aside from the protagonist - Both depict stories of overcoming obstacles to achieve a greater dream

Both share a very similar plot twist involving the main character that gets hinted on since the very first episode if you pay attention. (But the way the twist is handled is very different, with World Dai Star going a more supernatural route). Both are also slice of life-ish anime with an all-female cast, but the overall tone of each show is different.

Both are about acting and in both, the protagonist is guided by a spirit of theater. However, Glass Mask is the only one worth watching, and triumphs on every aspect of the show, while Stella is less than a "C" version of Glass Mask with the same themes. I strongly recommend you watch Glass Mask instead and avoid Stella in order to avoid spoilers and waste your time.

- Both are what you might call CGDCT - Both have supernatural twists - Both have moments of comedy (although WDS is more serious while DropOut is purely comedy) - Both focus on a group of middle/high school-aged girls

- Meiko’s appearance and subsequent character arc is VERY similar to Shizuka’s in one crucial regard (although I can’t say why, as that’d spoil it) - Both follow a group of teenagers as they struggle to overcome challenges, and eventually pursue their dreams - Both have one particular supernatural element, with everything else being set in the real world - Both will probably make you cry towards the end

both themes are same, performing art at theatre with acting and musical.

Both are from Studio Lerche and feature the same director and sound director Both have supernatural elements Both mix CGDCT/idol-ish activity with heavier themes and have a more serious side World Dai Star feels like a spiritual successor to Idoly Pride with a theater story instead of idol business

Both stories: A story about a girl who aspires to be a star aided by a skilled co-star through supernatural means.

- Both are CGDCT where the “cute thing” is related to the entertainment industry (Acting and Idols, respectively) - Both feature relatively large casts of main characters (7 for WDS and 9 for Love Live) - Both have excellent animation when it comes to performance scenes - Both feature sweet songs, although Love Live is obviously more focused on them than WDS
