Gakuen Alice addpermalink

Both involve an academy where magic is the main subject.
The protagonists of Quiz are older than the ones in Gakuen Alice, nevertheless both are funny, light-hearted anime with a cast of amusing sidekicks, unusual teachers and a main girl who constantly gets bad grades.

School Rumble addpermalink

Some characters in QMA instantly reminded me of the SR ones (Shalon=Eri, Lask=Kentaro, Malariya=Akira, Ruquia=Tenma because of the personality, Mikoto due to the physical appearance).
Both are random, wacky, funny school comedies. School Rumble is obviously longer and better, but Quiz is enjoyable too, strangely enough.

Both have magical academies where the main characters learn magic, and get into trouble with a dragon. Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou is a ecchi magic comedy while Quiz Magic Academy is both magic and comedy but has no ecchi

In both anime's there is a group of people that are trying to study magic. "Quiz Magic Academy" have a magic school and "Mahou Tsukai Tai" a magic club. They also have similar humor.
