Migi to Dali

Both're strange and particularly mysterious small town murder mysteries with very similar tones to one another. JoJo is obviously a lot more than that, but what part 4 in particular is at its core, is very similar to Migi to Dali. 

Despite the difference in genres, they seem to target a mature audience who loves quirky surreal humor. Two overlooked gems from the 2023 fall season. 

-both have similar artstyle and creepy music, creepy feeling of mystery And mischevious plans 

These shows are actually pretty similar. Both are centred around twins (of a sense in one, and literally in the other), have mysterious settings, where the main characters don't know who to trust and seem to have never learned anything about how to act within their societies. They very much differ in content (one somewhat absurdist, while the other supernatural), but I think, if you like one of these titles, you have a high probability of liking the other. MD might take a few episodes to get into, and the same goes for SH, but give them time, they may surprise you.  

In both anime we have a revenge desired main character. They want to avenge a woman that is importnat in their life. Mc has a sibling that also loved that woman but they dont want revenge that badly, they mostly want happy life in different place and fulfilling their current dreams. Both anime are full of mysteries and plot twists. Simultaneously with the dark part there is comedy part in both.  

Migi to Dali has the same mysterious and sometimes heavy and disturbing atmosphere as Junji Itou's work. Watching the anime, I really got the impression that it was inspired by Junji Itou's work. It's one of my favourite anime of this autumn. 

Both animes have mystery and thrill elements. Both have whole story adapted and wrapped up in 13 episodes, i.e., you can watch them in one go and be satisfied with the end! 

both series have covert investigation, sneaking around, bluffing around as its central theme with many suspenseful scenes 

In addition to the obvious reason of belonging to the same author, both series have protagonists who parody perfection in a comical and witty way. 

Ok here me out: - both have this kind of situation based humour where the stakes seem really high but in reality they're not cause it's a comedy and the situation they're on could never exist irl - for both shows, I started for the comedy but stayed for the plot and the characters  

If you like the concept of twins, pretty young blonde boy with blue eyes, and twisted personality due to a traumatising orphaned childhood, you should watch this next. Both series are about chasing someone down and filled with mysteries and crazy happenings revealed throughout the story.
