Fantasy with lots of sorcery and adventure are the things that define these anime's. Comedy is inevitable too. Battle evil with magical powers in these action packed anime's.

"Sorcerer on the Rocks" is a spin-off of "Sorcerer Hunters" (Bakuretsu Hunters) and is set in the same world. Both series fit into the comedy fantasy adventure genre and feature similar types of sword & sorcery action.

Issei is 100% the child of Carrot Glace. I have never seen 2 characters who match up so perfectly. Both series protagonists are major pervs, with big hearts, little magical power, and dragon-type beings within them. If you enjoyed High School DxD, then you should give Sorcerer Hunters a shot.

the fantasy-comedy genre is overwhelmly simmilair at both of these, lots of scorcery, swordfights, re-eincarnations and lots of funny moments what can be enjoyed with the whole fammily.

Both anime are Rei Omishi+Satoru Akahori works, and share very similar characters, style, and genres (adventure, fantasy, magic, action, comedy, ecchi).

These animes both have a main character constantly lusting after other girls without realizing that theres a hot girl who loves them right there! although in one the main character is completely evil but is way more funny there both very enjoyable animes if u like the whole greed/magic/old times plot

The plots maybe very different and City Hunter may not have any fantasy within it, but what makes these two animes similiar is the characters and comedy. The relationship between Ryo and Kaori is exactly the same between Carrot and Chocolate/Tira. The guys are always trying to do perverted things with girls while the main female characters stop them in various ways. If your looking for this type of character cohesion and similar comedy; then these two animes are what you are looking for.
