This is a collection of my favorite anime to come out in 2022. All of these are worth a watch in my opinion.

Shows only, no movies. Not genre-specific.

This is for the Muslim anime fans!

DISCLAIMER: I've gotten messages from people who will tell me that some of the anime I have on this list are not halal because of one thing or another. Those people clearly didn't read the description so please DO SO before you start badgering me.

YES, it's probably nigh on impossible to find a non-children's anime that's completely 100% halal (if you are going to be THAT nit-picky then you should probably just not watch anime at all), but for those of you who want to watch something at least a little more clean than usual I've done my best to compile a list of shows that can be watched without too much of a guilty conscience during Ramadan or even normal days, alone or around family members.

I'm NOT excluding shows that have characters killing or dying (gotta have SOME conflict), smoking, drinking (in moderation), cursing, using magic (OTHER than what's listed below), or romance since almost every show has a little of that (so long as no overly physical intimacy is shown, though I tried to avoid anime where romance is the main focus). What I AM excluding are more so things that would be uncomfortable for the average conscientious Muslim to watch.
Shows with a supernatural element are also included so long as they don't include what's listed below.
Shows with a focus on music or drawing are also included, but if you rather avoid those shows as well I'll mention it in their description.

The criteria for this stack is that these shows DO NOT contain:

- Unnecessary nudity or ecchi scenes
- Dick jokes, boob jokes, masturbation jokes or jokes based on characters feeling aroused
- Sexual innuendo or content
- Incest or overly intimate behavior between siblings
- Gods, demons, angels, or other theological entities
- Settings of heaven, hell, or the afterlife
- Reincarnations, reanimation, necromancy, or creation of life
- Ghosts or spirits
- Traps or reverse traps (i.e. boys dressed as girls, or girls dressed as boys)
- Romance, crushes or overly intimate scenes between characters of the same sex
- Gender-ambiguous characters (like Crona from Soul Eater or Osana from Komi-san Can't Communicate)
- Characters that change genders
- Characters that claim to be a gender they're not
- Intense kissing scenes
- Characters dressed in exaggeratedly skimpy or skin-tight outfits

I actually found more than I thought I would, haha. Of course it's been awhile since I've watched some of these so my memory is a little fuzzy on details; some of the shows listed MIGHT have one of the no-no's I listed above. If so please do let me know.* Also do read the synopsis of any anime you're planning to watch to get a better idea on what it's about, and what features in it.

*NOTE: Again, just the ones I listed above! Do not bother me if you're going to tell me this show has magic or that show has boys and girls touching. YES, I know those things are haram in real life, but be reasonable; these are shows created by non-Muslims ABOUT non-Muslims FOR non-Muslims, so you can't expect to find anything that obeys Sharia law here! If you're worried because an anime has young women not wearing hijab then again, maybe just don't watch anime. This is for those Muslim anime fans who would just like a good story or wholesome entertainment without all the sexual and atheistic nonsense that the modern non-Muslim audience doesn't have a problem with.

all of these animes are either my favorite/liked watching/it just has good reviews and im planning on watching them later sometime. and i can 100% guarantee you that you wont regret watching any of them. (ps. i didnt add the whole sequel for the animes that have continuation other than for Clannad)

Top Anime (in my opinion)

New in spring 2022:
Top 1 definitely SPY X Family, Dad is spy, Mom is killer and their daughter is esper
Top 1 Paripi Koumei is also good, The story is interesting and unique because it's about ML who was thrown into the modern world from the Three Kingdoms era and then he used the strategy of the Three Kingdoms War to help FL in the world of music in the modern era, plus the opening song is popular because it's fun.
Top 2 TOMODACHI GAME is also fun, choose friends or money, anime with a psychological genre whose plot is not heavy, but lots of plot twists, the MC is not naive, the MC is the best this season
Top 3 AO ASHI which is about football is also good to watch

Sequel:
Top 1 GINGA EIYUU DENSETSU S3, the story is unique and interesting because of the war between galaxies, the animation is also really good, unfortunately there's nothing to discuss, at MAL it's winter because it's broadcast at the end of winter-mid spring. The osts from s1-s3 are very good
Top 2 KOMI SAN S2 is also good, komi is very hard to communicate but her friends help her and very funny

Completed series:
Top 1 TSURUNE, the character design is very typical of Kyoani, because there has never been an anime about archery, it makes me curious and it turns out it's good too, so I can't wait for the movie which will be broadcast this year.
Top 2 KAZE GA TSUYOKU FUITEIRU about running is also interesting

Movie:
Top 1 definitely FRUITS BASKET PRELUDE the story is about FL's father's past, whose face was only seen in the last minute of season 3 and his mother
Top 2 Summer Ghost, If I don't watch the Fruits Basket movie, SUMMER GHOST is the best. The story is about 3 people who have 'no reason' to live, who meet each other through an internet site to look for a 'summer ghost' who is said to come when the fireworks are set off.

Notes: I have definitely watched/read the anime/manga that I give a rating
I will not give a rating below 5, Rating 5 for me = 1, >8 = recommended
if it's not good for me, the status "Dropped" and no rating

This is about great anime series that deserve way more recognition.

Collection of animes with real life, everyday and very identifiable stories, where the main focus is on personal, social, emotional and psychological development in adolescence or young adulthood, addressing recurring themes in this stage of life such as self-esteem, anxiety and insecurity, loneliness and depression, traumas, self-improvement, first love, passion and personal tastes, etc. With powerful messages, life lessons, and introspection of the individual.

You have already watched tons of popular anime. Now it is time for you to watch some underrated or uncommon titles. Here are some anime that are not popular but has really good story. I selected them based on number of members (Less than 600000) as of "12th January 2024". Enjoy, I will update the anime descriptions later as i don't have time right now.

Here I'm mentioning a bunch of sports anime that I've loved. People make excuses why they don't like sports anime saying they don't know about the sport, or they don't enjoy the sport. But let me assure you, even if you don't know anything, the anime will make sure to educate you enough to enjoy the show and you'll fall in love if it hooks you!!

Sports Anime that might inspire you to try the sports that they do except keijo hahaha but its fun to watch anyway.
Mainly plots involves competitions that pumps you up to binge watch it for hours days

The Sack includes anime that are very easy to watch. they have simple storylines no extra drama, love triangles, complex plots, annoying characters, etc.
Just some plain but good storyline and normal but interesting characters and their day-to-day life with some good comedy and also some inspiring stories.
There may be titles that fit the description but are not included in this because I only include the anime that I have watched.
