Contrary to many people's belief, shounen, shoujo, josei, and seinen are not descriptors of content or common genres, just a general description of a manga's target audience and thus what magazine it publishes in. This does not stop people from applying them to anime they feel fit the arbitrary genres assigned to these target demographics (such as gore for adult men and romance for teenage girls) even if the manga does/did not run in a seinen magazine, or it wasn't even adapted from a manga at all.   whether it be with borderlands animation or stylish entrances for each of the 100 characters, these shows have uniqueness when it comes to showing off     Only complete ones(and sequels to completed ones) here.  Newly released & mentionable titles aired in 2022. Sequels, spin-offs, OVAs, and related movies are not included.   Of course the Title is sarcastic as this "interest stack" depicts, in-depth/Deep animes which transcend and redefine the anime's identity within their respective genres or confined stereotypes, which is achieved through either more accurate/darker depictions of "fantastical" events such as becoming a magical girl or a young boy going to explore the vast unknown lands. These animes actively communicate with the viewer and its originating anime cliche counterpart often achieved through remakes of originally established concepts or Titles, reworking the viewers understanding of what it may mean to experience a life-changing event, encounter or a ridiculously fictional scenario through the lens of an actual "human" who possesses flaws, fears, trauma, and authentic emotions in contrast to an either dystopian world or fantasy based setting.   animes people claim they are special for watching and "understanding"  interesting character development   The list of anime shown in the video posted on TikTok by monomogu.
