Chinese streaming platform bilibili is hosting exclusive Re:Zero footage--of the two protagonists enjoying cup ramen. The ad is in Japanese with Chinese subtitles and show Subaru introducing Emilia to Cup Noodles' Chinese brand, Hé Wèi Dào, after a study session. The pair enjoy a cup of the seafood flavor Cup Noodle, China's most popular flavor.
Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu is titled and marketed as Re:Cong Ling Kaishi De Yi Shijie Shenghuo in China.
This anime is something otherworldly. The original Re:Zero does not compare to the brilliance of this godsend of an anime. Subaru is just spectacular and so is Emilia. Like any true intellectual, it is obvious that Emilia is the best girl which is good reason to include her in such a glorious asian noodle commercial. Let me ask you, when was the last time you have seen a sweet second rate anime babe in a Geico commercial? Yeah, that's what I thought. Not Chinese? This commercial has something for you. Not into Ramen? This commercial has something for you. Not into hot anime babes? Ok,
maybe this commercial doesn't have anything for you. But that just means your taste in anime is trash. If you want the perfect anime, this ain't it chief. This is beyond perfect. I just bought the entire ramen company and now I'm going to create a multi billion dollar company with the profits made from this commercial. Cheers.
Truly a masterpiece of an anime. The gripping plot displayed in these two short minutes are a wonder to behold. As an intellectual, I can assure you that watching this anime will not be time wasted. The intricate dialogue between the two main characters was stupendously crafted and had me wanting more. When compared to the original Re:Zero, this sequel far exceeds it in all aspects. As a bonus, it focused on the best girl in the series, Emilia. This simple change pushed this anime from amazing to god tier. My only complaint is that it is only a single episode. I can understand this
decision however, as such high quality animation and heart wrenching dialogue comes at a steep price.
If you are an intellectual looking for a new anime to fill the empty void in your heart left by other masterpieces like SAO, this is the one for you.
'Re: ZERO opening a cup of noodles in another world' is an advertisement where Emilia and Subaru get impressed over a bendable plastic fork that comes with a cup of noodles. Plastic forks are unarguably more impressive than the anime itself was so that's pretty cool, you also throw them in the trash after one-use which is also acurrate way to deal with anything related to re:zero.
Perhaps the best and worst part of this ad is that it could have as well been part of the main series and I personally couldn't have possibly thought that it is somewhat out of place. I mean the
cast is acting like overly anime clowns in this one, but they are still the exact same as in the series. Puppets promoting some noodles and it is truly terrifying to see how the characters do it so naturally and by being themselves that it makes me ask the question if they really had anything close to personality and own will ever.
The biggest difference here is how no one dies or becomes edgy during this 2 minute run which makes the ad seem a bit non-canon-ish, but the ad also ends before they finish the cup noodles. I am sure some sort of depression or angst would have followed 3 seconds after the food is over so that's also pretty cool way to capture the nature of the main series.
Art-wise, Emilia still looks way more unappealing than a cup of noodles, so if we judge this ad based to that, it sure is doing a terrific job by making the noodles and the plastic fork look better than anything else: they truly stand out. Not that this required much work when we are talking about re:zero.
When it comes to sounds, Subaru's stomach sounded like a thunder when he got hungry so that was also yet another pretty cool thing to add there. Don't really have further things to say about this, except my interest towards cup noodles and re:zero remained about the same even after watching this, but I now hold mad respect towards forks.
TeamEmilia clearly won in Re:Zero episode 25.
Well, guess what?
TeamEmilia wins again!
There's no Rem. We get to see only Emilia and Subaru talking to each other and eating cup noodles. Therefore, if you are TeamEmilia then you'll clearly enjoy watching this 'cause you get to see Emilia's cute expressions once again after 2 years. I mean that alone is enough for me to enjoy this. The art is nothing special though, so keep that in mind while watching it. I personally enjoyed this 'cause I at least got to see more of Emilia. The best girl obviously wins in the end. As Emilia, Puck and Subaru
