Implicity

The story is superb, the characters are rather likable, the art is nothing special but the unique animation style -the same style from Ichigo Chocolat- is immersive and it has an ACTUAL plot! I'd say that this series was better than Euphoria, but not better than Rance Quest. If you're tired of vanilla hentai, this is the way to go. It's no Ghibli film, but you'll watch all of it in one sitting because the ... story is that good (by hentai standards anyway). After seeing it, it still holds replay value is the most important part, that also applies to people like myself who never rewatch anything.

First things first : It's important to make the distinction between RESPECTING/VALUING something and LIKING/ENJOYING it.

In my opinion, the MANGA "Implicity" is a GOOD manga, I RESPECT and VALUE it.
I do NOT LIKE/ENJOY it.

And that's its whole point. I can think of a few other similar mangas (most notably the "Hime Kankan" series by Tsukusun). The GOAL of this sort of mangas is to make you feel SICK. They are depicting horrifying things with the intent to make the reader feel horrified from them, not entertained, let alone aroused. So if you hate reading them, it means they're probably doing their job well.

The anime adaptation ... "Implicity" is CRIMINALLY BAD.
Not just because of the mediocre audio or extremely poor art/animation, those are minor details (and unfortunately pretty common in the hentai industry).

The real problem with this adaptation is that it completely misses the point of the manga. The colorful and light-hearted artstyle is completely at odds with the nausea-inducing theme of the story. This adaptation tries to make arousing a manga that aims at being repulsive. You could almost say that this adaptation tries to force the story to become the opposite of what it was designed as.


So yeah, I regret I can't give a lower score than 1.

I watched this one without really knowing anything about it, I should've read the description or something but to put it simply I was quite disgusted because it's literally a world where the age of consent is removed, and it goes the full mile with that with the main characters having a focus on sex work, you can imagine where that goes but anyways, I quite regret watching this, I watched it a few years ago I believe and I still remember it being appalling, and if you are not okay with any of the themes of this show, you'll likely be just as disgusted ... as I was so just avoid it.

Granted take my review with a grain of salt because you can argue my entire view of this is simply something given to me by society, which it is, and after watching this it's going to fucking stay that way, if I wasn't giving this show the benefit of the doubt and ignoring my preconceived notions, the characters are still a fucking 1, the art is alright though, nothing special, and the sound is, well, you can imagine on a voice actor level, but the music is okay, I didn't really enjoy the story, the couple you follow would be interesting but it seems like their thoughts are very unlike children, obviously because of the society live in, however it's treated how you would expect, with them obviously getting manipulated, which who would've thought, but again I just can't really get over the fact they're children, so it just disturbs me.
