Roommate was one of those guilty pleasure shows for me. Well okay, I don’t exactly like it but I don’t exactly hate it either!
First we start with the story, “you” are going to be living with 3 boys as the manager of the place they live. The story is all about how these characters interact with you and soon fall in love with you. With this anime being geared to a female audience that sounds about right. I see nothing wrong with the story and for 4 minutes per episode you really can’t expect anything more.

Despite being a POV anime with a good chunk of fanservice at the end of each episode, Room Mate is an enjoyable anime that embraces the POV format. This one in particular reminded me of a visual novel with how it structured each episode. The story is simple and light, nothing to keep anyone up at night.
The character art is unique and quite stunning which was my original pull towards the anime. The animation is also very well done though that might also be due to the short run time per episode. Sound is okay and there isn't much to say about it. The ... |
