Main-main MC unless there are 2 or more who equally share the spotlight. Will not add (yet) those I'm not certain of

After going through most of the tagged GL anime on MAL on top of some extras, here’s a pretty big list of the currently existing yuri/shoujo ai anime out there as well as some featured lesbian couples. Some of the anime are way better than others (you’ve been warned)

Basically Anime adaptations which are there to promote the manga (in rare occasions the anime got canceled).
The anime in this list are not judged by it's adaptation itself, but a list to show where one should read the manga to get the full story.

not all the shows listed are explicitly about romance - or even about the wlw couple - they just have one in the show (or have heavily implied one since it used to be real hard to get a lesbian couple on screen).

inclusion in the list has nothing to do with perceived quality (i'll probably add some quick reviews in with some potential triggers, etc), but just the presence of girls (romantic) love.
