Boin

A prequel to the much beloved Resort Boin, Boin focuses on the exploits of Daisuke right after being hired for a teaching position and placed as the Career Dramatic Development head. Now you may be wondering just what the hell Career Dramatic Practice is, considering its somewhat convoluted name, but it’s simply a setup where Daisuke and a student role-play various professions and positions in order to give the students a look into what it would be like to work in different fields. Now the original intent for this program may have been pure, but they didn’t quite count on just how horny Daisuke’s students ... would be, nor would they have ever imagined his complete willingness to see to their desires in true role-playing fashion.

This is especially true of Nao, a sweetly conniving redhead with impure intentions, who’s the first to take part in this soon-to-be defiled program with her little nurse’s outfit and almost exploding bosom. She may be a virgin but she wanted her first time to be with Daisuke, and even though he found this out only after the fact, he was more than willing regardless. His exploits with her are quickly followed by yet another girl looking to spend some special role-playing time with him. Mitsugu, in her shrine maiden getup, has taken it upon herself to release the evil spirits that dwell in Daisuke’s bulging pants. She’s equally stacked and looking to please Daisuke in any way she can, with her body as his canvas. Just the way it should be, I might add.

Of course these girls aren’t just happy with their one-shot encounters. They take it upon themselves to visit him at home in an effort to show their love and maybe get a little treat. Nao is the first to break in, and after searching through his stuff she finds he has a certain affinity for girls wearing an apron with nothing else underneath it (really, who doesn’t?). She also happens to run across a vibrator during her thieving, an item which Daisuke decides to put to good use as soon as he gets back. That works out well until Mitsugu, who has much the same idea to barge in on him as Nao did, comes in at the most inopportune time. Right as Daisuke and Nao are climaxing directly in front of her. Stunned, shocked and upset, Daisuke does the only thing he can to make the situation better. He has sex with both of them at the same time, a move that almost always results in the two lovely ladies finding themselves irresistibly drawn to one another as well. It’s one of those great hentai girl traits and that, my friends, is what dreams are made of.

I can’t say there’s much more to it than that though. It’s just a simple tale of smitten schoolgirls and their quest to bed their teacher. And while that’s all well and good, the sex scenes do not have the quality necessary to carry both episodes on their own. Only the final scene, when Nao and Mitsugu both get in on some delectable threesome action, stands out amongst all the others. It’s not just that the sex acts are repetitious and uninteresting; it’s that the animation and details are also underwhelming. Even the cosplay bit and short vibrator scene can’t do anything to save it from just not being titillating enough. Of course the Japanese voices are able to help in that effort, but they’re the only ones working towards that end as there is no English dub.

Boin is a sweet little title that’s worth a watch, but it really doesn’t really bring anything new or exciting to the table. Its sequel, however, is amazing, and you don’t need to see the first to understand what’s going on in the second. So it’s really up to you if you want to watch them both or just skip this one and move onto Resort Boin in all its sex filled glory. Whichever the case may be, it’s the right choice.

I was initially not planning to talk about Boin after seeing it as it felt like a mediocre hentai all things considered however I felt it was necessary as I was going to write about it’s sequel Resort Boin. Although Resort Boin is a sequel, it is not necessary to watch Boin as it sets up only two girls of the large cast which speaks to the difference in quality between the two. Straight of the bat, I wouldn’t recommend Boin however if you have watched it then if the quality disappointed you I would highly recommend you continue the series with Resort Boin however ... if you did enjoy it then Resort Boin will be even better.

Story : 5.3

The story of Boin is not especially strong, with only a single weak gimmick to support it, when viewed critically the story could not stand on its own two feet. Nothing was especially bad or disturbing about Boin’s story however it stood out as aggressively mediocre in the space of hentai where the standard is to have some supernatural element or pandering to a certain fetish or just being plain disturbing however Boin has none of that. No part of Boin’s story would put a viewer off however no part makes the viewer stay so while Boin’s story is not bad it is not particularly good either and thus it gets a 5.3 as that seems like a fitting pairing between an aggressively mediocre story and an aggressively mediocre number.

Art and Animation : 5

Something felt very off with the character faces, body proportions and general motions. Although I will give away a tiny bit of leniency, looking at the sequel the art and animation are worlds apart so considering they were released a year from each other there is little the argument ‘It’s an older hentai’ can do for it unfortunately. Much like the other aspects of the show, animation is no different in being a total let down

Characters : 5

Much like the story, the characters are also very cookie cutter at best and at worst don’t have much of a personality. Everything felt bland despite the incessant moaning and I blame that more on how the show was structured without much dialogue and putting more emphasis on selling the sex which is rather unfortunate with regards to how I choose to experience my hentai.

Overall Boin is an unnecessary chapter in the series, adding nothing to its much better sequel and is very honestly not worth the watch. It contributed nothing to my life and felt like a waste of time however it did lead me to watching Resort Boin so I guess there’s always some silver lining to a bad hentai, whether it’s traumatizing you into reevaluating your life or helping you find much better hentai
