Noragami OVA

These were a fine pair of OVAs and I enjoyed watching them. There is some handwringing in other reviews over the order to watch them and how good they are because of whether or not they are canon, but I'm not really too worried about that. The first one is a little strange because its exact timing is indeterminate. Technically, yes, the second episode can only take place after the first six episodes of Noragami Aragoto, but they're not some big reveals that the episode hinges on, but some context that fills in a few moments. So if you're looking for a correct order for ... viewing it would be Noragami -> first episode of Noragami OVA -> first six episodes of Noragami Aragoto -> second episode of Noragami OVA.

The episodes themselves were fun moments with Yato and the whole gang, with basically all the main characters making a good appearance. There were some technical things that felt off (like the English translation) but nothing dealbreaking. Yato inhabits Hiyori's body but it doesn't get as pervy as it almost does, which is pretty funny. The running gag I did not expect was Yato being tied up and almost being dumped in a bucket of wet cement.

It's a fun little time and definitely helps fill the void for animation of this show since it's been half a decade since anything was made for this show. I guess just go to the manga? It could be comfy.

Noragami (Ova)

It is a slightly amusing addition to what is happening and is largely based on the "comedy" genre. The implementation of this has been mostly average. It had one or two subtle jokes.

What I found pleasant, at least, was that you could see more of the open character style. In principle, I would never reject Yato's screen time.

Otherwise, it's an average everyday Ova as you know her. The only strength that Noragami actually has, are mostly sympathetic characters and this is where Ova could score.
Among other things, this could be seen as a "Ship" episode for various pairing.
