Anime in the "Leijiverse", mostly adapted from Leiji Matsumoto's mangas. Ranked from newest to oldest

All the Leiji Matsumoto's anime released on the french TV (from newest to oldest).

Animax Latin America was the affiliate for that region of the youth channel of Sony Entertainment Television. The signal for Latin America was launched on July 31, 2005, replacing the adult animation channel Locomotion. Like the other subsidiaries around the world where it is available, it broadcast anime series, and since May 2008 it began with the broadcast of live action series and movies distributed by Sony Pictures.

On May 3, 2010, the channel is renewed by premiering a new logo and graphics. Since May 1, 2011, it was renamed Sony Spin, disappearing as a television channel.

Personally, a channel that brings back beautiful memories of my childhood and that, several series broadcast by Animax, give me a nostalgic feeling for an anime that currently no longer exists.

Uchuu Kaizoku Captain Herlock aka Space Pirate Captain Harlock is one of the fruits that sprang from the mind of creator Leiji Matsumoto (1938-2023).

Akira Tsuburaya is an infamous anime producer, with his career being littered by ultra low budget, critically savaged adaptations of anime from classic and highly veneered manga authors such as Leiji Matsumoto, Go Nagai, Mitsuteru Yokoyama and Shotaro Ishinomori. This stack collects the anime on which he served as a producer alongside a listing of which famous mangaka originally wrote it, but be warned, all his TV shows have abyssal production values. Leiji Matsumoto was a well-known creator of several anime and manga series.

Matsumoto was famous for his space operas such as Space Battleship Yamato and Galaxy Express 999. His style was characterized by mythological and often tragic storylines with strong moral themes, noble heroes, feminine heroines,and a love of strange worlds and melancholic atmosphere.

- Only Japanese anime.
- Anime from 2000 onwards.
- Must appear as unavailable both in TheStreamable and LiveChart.me
- Must not be a purchase-only anime.
- No kids demographic.
- It must NOT be available to stream OUTSIDE of Japan.
- Official YouTube (or similar) uploads, free streaming services (Pluto TV, Plex, Tubi) and official websites available OUTSIDE Japan count as legal streaming services, in these cases it doesn't get added to the stack.
- Must not be lost media (Example, Kick Off 2002)
- If the anime gets licensed for streaming, it gets removed from the stacks.
- Not mandatory, but the anime should be preferably done by a relevant studio. (Down there we see anime made by Madhouse, OLM, Studio DEEN, ACGT, J.C.Staff or Shaft for example).
- It is recommended that the anime has full-length episodes, that is, 20 minutes or more.
