Representativeness of the life of bullies, their daily life, how they live and how they deal with society having this view that everyone has of them.

In both series the protagonist is a young man called Kintarou, with different chinese characters for the „Kin“. One of these works in a corporation, the other one works for another employer in each episode. Apart from that, they have much in common I think. Both Kintarous like to move on two wheels and have a strong sense of individuality. They do not respect rules and ranks out of principle, but follow their ideals. They are totally different in the atmosphere but they both are seinen, and they both share a Mature Romance plus the main character in both is an awesome businessman, who is an adult with his own moral for good. If you like Arakawa, you may like Salaryman Kintarou.

Indeed, even if their atmosphere are totally different (salaryman is more serious and Rec more romantic comedy), they both have three important elements: 1.Realistic Problems, based on work or on relationships (boss-employed, etc) 2.Mature Romance, for once, if thats you're looking for. 3. The World of the Business, but it's a little better represented on Salaryman Kintarou

O.K. Salaryman Kintarou has absolutely nothing to do with mecha but, like Dai-Guard, is is a fun peek into Japanese corporate culture. The main character's nonconformity shakes things up and gets things accomplished. It's a fun show.
