The Urotsuki

It was very hard to watch this improved new version and compare it to the old one which I loved.

The Urotsuki, is a much needed and very enjoyable re-imagination of the old.

If you haven't seen the old one I don't the new one doesn't mean much to you.
It is very fun for rare of us us who craved" ..more more more" of the old stuff.
Don't get me wrong, I love this but the bad sides is that is brutally changed and some of the original appeal is gone.

If you can see my scores, the story is much better now and you actually feel ... much more for the characters. It plays up all the emotions we experienced in the crappier original movie but in a better way.
All characters are completely changed and much less stereotypical and have more dept but rather uninteresting and dulled down.
The sole exception to this Amano Jaku who actually became more interesting.
Alot of the women are less cute, less stupid and look more adult
but they all look like identical supermodels who have olive oil or lube for skin.
I like the colorfulness and the psychedelically mysterious surreal exoticism and well mystery of the old movie. There is none of it in the new version, they opted it away for more grey color scale and a gritty concrete surrounding
to make the world feel more like a dystopian urban social realism and making the characters feel more tragic
The sex is much more physical, more logical and raw
in "a sex is violence" kind of way.
Still the art is way better than the most of the old movie.
But the old art was of a very varied quality especially if you count the entire old series. I have to say art is better than the old series as a hole
but art is way worse than the best art from the old series.
The art of the original first movie was horrible crap.
The flattness of the b**ches and the lack of anime hair turns me off.
I would wanted it to look more like Bible Black or at least Toshio Maeda own art.

The best thing is that manages to make a balance between being hentai and being a non-hentai story.
Each episode have one heavy sexy scene per the climax of said episode.
A very good system, that releases fear and tension and make you care more about the sex because its in the same universe as the story that you invested so much make-belief into.

The only real flaw in the quite average enjoyment is that there are no more episodes.
