Same type of world setting and outlook on humanity, also with a violent beast of a protagonist whose only purpose in life to is horrendously cut people into pieces.

Both are very similar in that fall in to the category of pure exploitation. The only difference being Violence Jack is a steaming pile of an anime where Elfen Lied is simply great.

The events of both anime happen in a post-apocalyptic world, filled with depravity, murder, and war. In both anime, the main protagonist is a bloodthirsty individual who speaks through his violent acts. Overall, both anime have the same atmosphere, and they are filled with action and gore.

The events in both of these OVAs happen in a post-apocalyptic world. The main characters are both tall, muscular and very powerful men. They also try to help innocent people by killing evildoers in gory and violent ways.

Although the stories are quite different, they both give me the same feel. All the characters act in a similar manner. I cant exactly put it in words but both have a similar feel to it and give me the same mood when i finish an episode.

Both are based on manga from Go Nagai and are set in the same universe. However, you don't need to watch Devilman to watch Violence Jack. They both have a similar dark and gritty tone. As well as similar art and a similar vibe. Violence Jack and Amon: The Apocalypse of Devilman are both set in a world of despair and mayhem. They are also both action-packed anime with lots of blood, gore, and gratuitous nudity. However, Violence Jack contains graphic scenes of rape while Amon: Apocalypse of Devilman doesn't. If you like one, you should enjoy the other.

Gangs, depravity, blood splatter, flying body parts, sex, a strange form a justice, giant economy size characters - just change the names and places. Violence Jack is a mid-80's Mad Max style post Apocalypse world where crazed, barbaric bike gangs rule the day bombing, blasting, shooting, raping, killing, killing, raping, and training sex slaves . . . until they meet up with the enigmatic giant demon thing, Violence Jack, who dispenses gory, blood splattered justice. Tokyo Tribe 2 is much the same only it is set in modern Tokyo and benefits from better character development but then it is a series and VJ  read more

While these two anime take place in different settings, both are action-packed anime with a dark and gritty atmosphere. They are both filled with violence, blood and gore. The main protagonist (Guts in Berserk and Violence Jack in Violence Jack) in both titles have a badass personality and wields a powerful weapon. They are both not afraid of anything and will kill anyone that stands in their way. Berserk has a better story and better character development than Violence Jack. However, they are both are very entertaining to watch. If you like one, you may like the other.

Both anime are created around the same period (late 1980's). Both are very similar in tone and content with a dark and gritty atmosphere. They are also both action-packed anime with similar animation and a similar vibe. Violence Jack and Urotsukidoji: Legend of the Overfiend are also both famous for being quite disturbing and contain similar levels of graphic scenes of violence, blood, gore, sex, nudity, and rape. However, Violence Jack has no tentacle rape though. If you enjoy one, you should like the other as well.
