High School DxD

The animation and sound to high school dxd (sub is more enjoyable however dub is average) is great I would give it a 10 however those are the only 2 things I can say something good about the show.

The story to high school dxd is completely idiotic and is basically about a horny guy that becomes a demon with other hot demon girls with lots of uncensered scenes. Highschool dxd is what I would like to call tamed hentai because the plot is horrible. The characters barely have any development as the show progresses and the storyline never really get any better.

My enjoyment of ... the show was poor since I didn't really like it much I found it a bit hard to get through. Overall the anime was mediocre or if your into tamed hentai it would be fairly decent.

It's a highly etchi show (It's borderline from being hentai almost.) The main character just wants to lose his V card. He's surrounded by women who seem willing, but he's never able to pull it off. It's a show that teases, but never pays off.

Keep in mind I only watched the first season, but I find it unlikely I will continue to watch this show. The characters don't really have any depth. The main girl takes off her clothes and sleeps next to the main guy to motivate him to do better at his job (sleep next to, ... no naughty stuff, everything is a tease as I said.)

I didn't talk about the general plot, which revolves around demons, or something like that, and the main character having some super secret power. Why? Because it's really just a device or reason for the show to exist outside showing you the women in awkward situations.

So, for a show that's about demons, it's lacking. And for a show about etchi, it never pays off. Does it really have much else to offer? Not really.

STORY - Issei tries to become harem king and he wish that to have girlfriend and be pervert and he got tricked by fallen angel you just killing him around deja vu saved by Satanic name Ria Gemory who tries give her power of dragon to stop fallen angel and Asia get captured by one of fallen angel call Raynare who tries to steal her healing power after that she get defeated but one of which fallen angel gone and Asia father go psycho and attacking around in city even phoniex guy who steal Issei girlfriend who tries to manipulate ... Issei and marry Ria with his good hand leaving virgin issei to be more sarcastic loving for Ria

ART - the artstyle look gorgeous and one out of best. 10/10
SOUND - opening and ending have good song 7/10 but using music with nudity 1/10
CHARACTER- main protagionst is Issei which one of worst character ever created this show and even didn't look like handsome is just 15 year old loving with older women which is Ria who look older than him and lewding koneko who she 15 year old sound like Pedophile the good one was blonde hair dude look handsome even he should join fansevrice with four member but I giving 4/10
OVERALL - disappointing of main character of Issei who is very annoyed and why would he be out of luk 5/10 why do fan even like him really?

I have to say the first season is quite not good to say the least later from the second season on it gets really funny i had a good laugh its ridiculously funny 3 words to the describe this whole anime, funny ridiculous and perverted! and the fights are not bad at all. there are less animes where i was rofl this much

as for the aspects. the story is fine its nothing special but i dont think its too predictable. yes certain aspects of it are but some are NOT.
The style fits the story i have to say though. i hope you like boobs.
the characters ... have some backstory but they also fit an archetype so there is a little bit of generic to it but its better than average!!!

This anime is certainly not highclass. but its certainly enjoyable in its own way i think :) if youre not allergic to too much fanservice and if it fits your sense of humor id recommend it WHY? as i said in my first sentences.

and from all the animes of this genre this one is probably the best ive seen so far :) and ive seen a few ones like
mao no testament, love trouble and hagure yuusha no esutetika, demon king daimao or masou gakuen

**This is a review on the series as a whole up until the end of S4** So to start off I honestly almost turned this show off during the very first episode. I have only started watching anime heavily for about the past year ( i did have a stent in the military when I would watch some old animes, To love Ru being one of them hence the profile name. Don't judge me lol). This was one my friend recommended to me and when I saw the first pair of huge knockers flop out I honestly almost just shut it off. I talked to ... my friend about it and he talked me into watching it through. I did in about a week and I will say that I found the show fairly powerful for how juvenile it is on the surface. I think this type of show definitely plays to the male fantasy that we have all had of being desired and It takes it to the next level. I honestly at points got sensory overload just watching it. But I will break down each section to give you an idea of what I thought of this as a fairly inexperienced watcher of these types of anime.


**Story**

5/10- So just being honest the story is average and it probably won't surprise you much in terms of what it does with the plot and there is a lot of filler with nudity and other scenes that can feel out of place. Truthfully after I got used to it, it really didn't bother me much and I do feel that the story is at least comparable in quality to normal television I used to watch. The story knows what it is and it is refreshing to a certain extent but definitely not Shakespeare.

**Art Style**

4/10- so I find the art and character design (as far as the looks of the characters and environments they are placed) as less than average at best when compared to other anime at a glance. There is no mix-up in the art style that is going to blow you away. Highly flashy, highly dramatic but it also does do a lot of things well. there are certain points I would give the art in particular seasons a 7/10 but I have to stick to my guns with the art style being pretty average overall.


**Sound**

7/10-honestly the sound in this show blew me away all the time. At all times I even caught my GF getting into a lot of the songs. Not to mention the voice acting is pretty top-notch and all of the actors are very believable and fill their roles well. I would go as far as to say that the sound design (music, voice acting, battle sounds, etc ) is probably the best part of the show for me and are probably the parts that will linger with me for a while. so don't freak out when you add a couple of the intro songs to your playlist, I won't judge lol


** Character **

7/10- So this is my second favorite part of the show honestly. I cannot point out one character that I can say I didn't like, they all stood out to me in some way and I related to them in some way which is really great IMO with any story you watch.
I found myself invested in what the main character Issei was thinking and what he may decide to do. I even found myself invested in what all of the supporting characters were doing. I will say that I wish they had explored some of the other character's backstories but I understand that's just nitpicking. The main draw of the characters is that you find yourself thinking about who Issei would be best with and who you would like to see him end up with. I know it might seem juvenile but Love is one of our most powerful emotions, we love to invest ourselves in romance and I think that this show is no different. We want to see Issei love someone and someone love him back. I think that the fact that the show had me caring this much about Issei, is a testament to the writing and character development at least of the two main characters. there is obviously room for improvement but the main reason you will watch this show is the characters.


**Enjoyment**

7/10- There were very few moments that I wasn't enjoying this show, the only reason it has earned itself an 8 is because of the filler. Scenes that do not serve the plot at all and the time waste with eye candy. Personally, I do not mind these scenes and filler as long as the story doesn't suffer drastically from it. But as an objective reviewer in this situation, I have to remove three points off my biased 10/10 for enjoyment lol. The truth is if you don't want to see exaggerated female figures you may not get any enjoyment out of this show. I also understand some may see this show as stupid or gross. I think to each their own, men like seeing women. we all had sports illustrated under our bed growing up or even playboy if we were lucky. no real women are being sexualized in this show, they are pure make-believe for viewer enjoyment. If you look at the show like that I believe you will enjoy it a lot more. Embrace the weirdness. Also if you are in a relationship and your girl is cool it may have her getting in the mood lol. But do this at your own risk, my girl isn't jealous at all. If your girl is crazy jealous do not watch this with her!


**Overall**

5/10- I think this rating is very fair, you will enjoy yourself watching this show but there are stipulations. I say give it a try and if you haven't got used to it by the end of the second episode you probably won't like it and you are free to turn it off. I think you may be surprised at how much the parts of the show that are overdone or ridiculous don't bother you anymore. I really like this show and I cannot wait for another season. ( not a masterpiece but is mindless fun)

jnjAs a fan of anime, I recently watched Highschool DxD and have mixed feelings about it. On the positive side, the series has a unique blend of action, comedy, and ecchi elements that kept me entertained throughout the seasons. The characters are well-developed, and the plot has enough twists and turns to keep things interesting. However, the excessive fanservice can be overwhelming and distracting at times, which may not appeal to everyone. Additionally, the plot can be predictable, and some of the character arcs feel rushed. Overall, Highschool DxD is a decent anime that's worth a watch for fans of the ecchi genre.
