Quick witted high school boy appears to be uncaring and lazy but is actually a bleeding heart. He ends up helping girls his age (notorious for falling victim to supernatural misfortune) overcome obstacles and move forward. Bonus points if the boy has unresolved trauma and the girls get tearjerker subplots

The Monogatari Series is a Japanese light novel series written by Nisio Isin and illustrated by Vofan. The story follows a high school student named Koyomi Araragi, who has had various supernatural experiences and encounters with oddities, which are supernatural creatures or phenomena. Along the way, he meets other girls who are also involved with these oddities, and he helps them to resolve their problems.

The Monogatari Series has been adapted into several anime series, directed by Akiyuki Shinbo and produced by the animation studio Shaft. The series is known for its unique visual style and artistic direction, as well as its complex storytelling, dialogue-heavy scripts, and philosophical themes.

The anime adaptations of the Monogatari Series are well-regarded by many fans and critics for their attention to detail and faithfulness to the source material. Some people appreciate the series for its deep exploration of themes such as existentialism, identity, and relationships, while others enjoy the series for its eccentric and quirky characters.

However, it's worth noting that the Monogatari Series is not for everyone, as its dense and complex storytelling can be challenging to follow at times, and some viewers may find the series' graphic and mature content to be off-putting.

This will be in book order, making it the easiest order for new viewers to follow along to. Like bunny girl senpai, the series has muli episode arcs focusing on different characters and their weird problem, that has deep meaning behind it. I will put what arcs each series covers.

from the animelon 'about' page:

"Learning a language can be difficult; often times it is boring and tedious, so we want to help the language learning community by providing a more entertaining and engaging way to learn. The idea of Animelon is to provide interactive tools that assist users in learning Japanese as they watch anime. If you love watching anime, why not make more out of the time spent?"

this is part of a series of stacks on the japanese-language-learning-focused anime streaming site animelon. the anime are listed first in order of difficulty ranking according to JPDB, from the easiest (level 1) to the most difficult (level 10), and then by MAL members of the earliest season listed. I will include include all seasons, entries etc. that are available on animelon, with notes that include information on other series entries.

It's the SHAFT release order but Kizumonogatari comes after Bakemonogatari as it was unintentionally delayed.

Don't do anything crazy like watching Hana in the middle of Second Season.

Koyomi Vamp is a compilation movie with very few additional scenes and a lot of removed scenes, it's optional.

When it comes to enjoying the Monogatari Series, there are various perspectives on how best to approach the viewing experience.
Different individuals have their own beliefs on the ideal order in which to watch the series.

• Some suggest watching it in Studio Shaft's intended order, as they may have structured the animation in a specific way.
• Others advocate for following the light novel order, as this is how the author intended the story to be told.
• Additionally, some viewers prefer to watch the series in chronological order to better understand the timeline of events.
• While others create their very own watch order.

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Here is a guide to help you choose the best order to watch the Monogatari Series:

1. Studio Shaft's Order / Anime Release Order: It is advised to avoid watching the series in Studio Shaft's order as this order may not provide the intended viewing experience as some shows were delayed in release, potentially leading to confusion and spoilers that could impact your enjoyment of the series..

2. Light Novel Order: Watching the series in the order of the light novels will provide you with the intended experience and excitement as envisioned by the author. This approach allows viewers to immerse themselves in the story as intended by the creator.

3. Chronological Order: While watching the series in chronological order may help in understanding the timeline of events and character development, it may diminish the unique storytelling and enjoyment that comes from experiencing the series in its original format & the element of discovery and piecing together the narrative across different timelines can add to the overall viewing experience will also be missing.

4. Personal Order: While some viewers may have their own preferred watch order, it is important to note that these orders may not be suitable for beginners and could potentially impact their understanding and enjoyment of the series.

Ultimately, the choice of watch order is up to you.
But for beginners, it is highly recommended to watch the Monogatari Series in the order of the light novels for the best viewing experience.

The below list is arranged in their Light Novel Order.

But if you want to watch in Chronological Order then follow the link below:
