Both of the main characters meet a goddess who sends them to another world, but the goddess in question is also a useless party member. This in turn leads to rather strange adventures for the main characters of both series.

A japanese young man together with a useless goddess set out to a magical world to defeat the demon lord. Along the way they meet up other people and form a party. Both animes are humorous with a lot of jokes and idiotic and funny characters.

Both anime give a similar feeling within the comedy. The art direction is similar in both anime with characters that are just as lovable. If you enjoyed watching Konosuba this anime is your next stop.

In terms of comedy, these shows are pretty similar. They involve an abnormal hero from another world, the hilarious goddess that summoned them, and two party members that follow them around, though the Konosuba party members are more hilarious than the Shinchou ones. If you want to have a good laugh and love the Isekai trope, then both of these anime are for you.

Similarity: two of the most comedy isekai that are actually fun ,. both anime are focus on characters more than the story, so they have likable characters that can make funny situations . the story in both is about the hero party going against devil king army and comanders and fighting them one after one but the devil king him self don't appear in the first arcs. both the main females ( aqua and restarte) are energetic and naive girls so they get abused alot by the MC in a funny way. there is some difference tho : konosuba is keep being a comedy while shincho yuusha start being   read more

It pretty much has the same setting as Konosuba, except instead of the MC being really weak, the MC in Shinchou Yuusha: Kono Yuusha ga Ore Tueee Kuse Ni Shinchou Sugiru is pretty much OP but is extremly cautious in the new world he is in, I'd definitely recommend watching this if you're a fan of Konosuba.

Both of the Dubs are borderline abridged

Both anime make fun of traditional isekai tropes and parody them. Both feature a Goddess who is "useless" although Rista is in fact quite powerful. If you find Konasuba funny, you'll find Shinchou Yuusha hilarious as well, similar styles of humour. Both feature over the top writing and action.

They're both parodies of the isekai genre so they have a similar style of humor and the main protagonist of both shows have a similar dynamic with the main goddess.
report Recommended by Great_King20
Both are over the top parodies of isekai anime that make fun of the genre by taking all the character tropes and bumping them all the way up to 11, while simultaneously subverting plot tropes due to the characters all being kinda stupid.
report Recommended by FinalReality56
- both are parody on hero vs demon lord isekai - main girl in both is an useless goddess
report Recommended by Nikiforova
Both are comedy isekais with a useless goddess (Aqua and Rista)
report Recommended by HanakoN7
- both protagonist have "equality gender" ideals - female protagonists who break the "innocence" cliche - same style of humor - btw, yuusha is way more darker than konosuba

Two very similar shows regarding content and humor.

This two animes have similar isekai and humorousness. I strongly recommend.
report Recommended by mrcemak47
Both are parody fantasy anime, which make fun of cliches and tropes of the genre itself.

Neither take themselves too seriously, the Goddesses suffer the most from the protagonists, true gender equality was woven into their very being, they're not your typical "nice-guy who wears black and is incredibly nice, cool and overpowered, with women flocking to them at every turn" they're assholes and it's amazing.

Funny asf isekais both featuring useless goddesses and equally enjoyable main characters; one being funny asf and the other being overpowered asf.

This show is really simmilar to konosuba so if you like these type of comedic shows you will like this one too :)
report Recommended by Herkus
An isekai where the main Protagonist is a complete asshole, I love it.
report Recommended by King_Rengo
Ridiculously hilarious. Ristarte is as useless godess as Aqua. Cautious hero is too similar to konosuba in most of the aspects
report Recommended by in_flux
They are both Isekai that focus on the comedy and they both have a usless goddess. The funny facial expressions are a staple of Konosuba and Cautious Hero uses similar expressions too.

Hero goes to a video game style world accompanied by a useless goddess to destroy the devil king/demon lord. Parody humour and comically large explosions.

Same vibes: isekai parody, chad mc, useless goddess
