Made in Abyss (Anime) add
I'm being completely honest when I give this a 10/10 in all aspects. Beautifully detailed art and animation, a soundtrack that sounds like something out of a Ghibli movie, and on top of it all a deeply compelling story hinting at something greater. I could write an entire book about my own speculations to the plot and attempts to detail the lore of the universe that Tsukushi has created.

Fair warning though, don't be fooled by the outwardly cheery nature the art style and sense of adventure bring. The rating is R+ for a very good reason. While it makes sense contextually and is censored to ...

An absolute favorite. Like, this is everything I could have ever wanted. A cute, funny, and most of all, sfw manga about a shy gay boy trying to become friends with his crush, drawn in a classic 80's art style. Speaking as a gay boy who loves classic manga, this is an absolute blessing. It feels nice to read something that doesn't feel fetishized, for once. I can relate to both Nakamura AND Hirose in a number of the situations, the girl characters don't just exist to be annoying, and I was smiling the whole way through! I'm always sure to tell my friends about ...

Preliminary (12/? chp)
Started reading this one a whim the other day since it doesn't have many chapters so far. Demons and stuff aren't typically my thing, so I didn't expect for it to really catch a hold of me, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The artwork seems a little sloppy an clunky at times, aside form more detailed panels, but it's not really a problem since in a way that just adds to its charm. The characters are super creative, fun and easy to like, even the ones that are supposed to be the "bad guys." The humor is well-timed and genuinely funny. There's no lack ...

Forever a favorite. Honestly this is everything I could've ever asked for. Cute cute CUTE artwork and characters (and not in that gross lanky big handed yaoi artstyle yuck!), well written female characters who don't exist simply to get inbetween the boys and be annoying, an overall focus on the friendship and love, and so much more. Refreshingly lighthearted and soft and fuzzy, and no gross oversexualization of little boys. This is my light in the dark honestly. You don't see much anime or manga about gay boys that is actually tasteful and not fetishization. As a gay boy, this is my favorite, and I ...

This is one of my absolute favorite OVA's. If you're looking for a way to spend an hour don't pass this up!
The art is detailed, and nicely animated. I'm especially impressed with the realism to the machinery! The opening theme is so groovy! Not much of a chance is given for the characters to develop, but Ushiwaka is a determined, likeable kid with a can-do attitude. Super cute!!

The story and characters are so well written, and so much backstory is alluded to, but not in a way that overwhelms the viewer. Straightforward, yet the opposite of boring, and definitely an intriguing premise. I really really ...

Truly beautiful, as far as visuals go. I found that I couldn't look away, everything was just so pretty. If you like pretty boys wearing capes, this is for you. It's obvious that lots of work was put into conveying the aesthetics of the original manga, and it paid off fantastically, both in artwork and music scores.

If you're looking for character depth and great storytelling, give this one a skip. While the plot is very intriguing, it could have been carried out much better. Overall it feels kinda jumbled, with the back and forth between settings, and the time skips. I found myself confused a ...
