Open your eyes for once, this anime is so overhyped its like a god's gift and ppl can't see the sloppy CGI on simple movement, only saving grace is actions scenes sometimes they are dull too. |

| Been severely disappointed with this hyped up anime since episode 1. From a narrative standpoint it's been lowbrow, lazily written, shock and sex centric garbage imo and has been a chore for me to keep up with. But this episode was at the VERY least interesting and watchable. Nothing special but at least entertaining without being *completely* insulting to the viewer's intelligence like every ep before it. 3/5 episode for me. Because finally for one CSM episode "it was okay". All about the small improvements I suppose. Still there are things that just scream low brow trash to me but the 8th floor situation is interesting at least. Girl with the knife (forget her name now) made me want to watch an episode of something else though. Like jeez did they take shortcuts with that character at light speed just to get her to be the archetypical Lord of the Flies "breaks/goes crazy under pressure and is a liability" anime character. |

| I like Denji's fighting style and this fight was the pinnacle of it: go crazy so much that enemy just can't keep up. But scenes after that... going from hot to absolutely disgusting to again hot was a so damn unexpected. |

| The bulk of this episode is unrelated to the genre of shounen, and that's what makes it so great. stepping away from the heavy handed action for world building is for any great shounen. I will not spoil the manga, but in retrospect the relationships between the characters, and thus episodes like this, are what makes Chainsaw Man so great. also MAPPA lied; they said they would not censor anything. Maybe the blueray will be uncensored, but lets be honest who buys those.  |

It's nowhere near mature enough in any of its aspects outside of the blood and gore enough if anyone had the notion to argue that this feels like a seinen (it doesn't). Not that that's a bad thing mind you but it is what it is. |
