| Based Luke! The cour has finally come to an end. Honestly I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss the action and the adventure at all, but these 12 episodes were quite enjoyable. Probably my least favorite arc of the series so far when you compare it to what came previously, but a really good one regardless. The 2nd cour of season 2 drops in April of next year. A long wait, but if the LN readers are right, it will definitely be worth it. Can't wait for more MT! |
| Story took quite a turn with this season. No more journeying the world and seeing new places, which is a HUGE shame. The scenery we saw during the first season was one of the best I've ever seen in anime. Animation took a hit in general too. Regardless, it's still an amazing anime so I'm substracting only 1 point and giving it a 9/10. The second cour will apparently have some adventuring again so I'm looking forward to that! |

| There were drops in quality during the season and some cheap-ass outsourcing. I will still give an 8/10 anyway. Studio Bind was able to make something nice as Episode 3 but doing complete abhorrent episodes. I hope for the next cour they fix the issues. This cour finale was fine, but they could remove the OP and give a little more time to some scenes. |

| Very wholesome episode and overall quite a chill 1st part. Now I'm hoping the 2nd part will be more action focused, can't wait for the next turning point (and I hope best girl Roxy shows up soon) |

@rasterman7 I'm not sure you watched the series seriously. The issue wasn't his ED, but the trauma that caused it and, further, him seeking his family following the mass teleportation. The entire cour was slice of life stuff with Rudeus seeking a cure for his issue, yes, but the issue wasn't the primary focus. I mean, if you're going to be insincere and stupid, toss in a pink elephant, at least.
Musoku Tensei isn't shounen, so I don't know why you fixated on the lack of battles to showcase the magic. Rudeus isn't in a foreign land needing to go on quests 24/7 so him and his party can afford a room and meals for the week. He is a student at a prestigious academy where his name and reputation have guaranteed him a fairly comfortable lifestyle while he learns new spells to broaden his skillset and meanwhile figure out a few things like why the mass teleportation happened and, yes, fix his ED.
I doubt you'll like the second cour since it's adapting Turning Point 3 which, as it sounds like, is going to be mostly dealing with the wedding and more SoL things before the next major development and eventual journey towards that. This isn't a shounen. It is going to take its time and develop both its characters and its world.

I know it's not a shounen but this season was clearly not paced like the first one and I don't feel like the theming and payoff of it were good either. I liked it as much as I can like Mushoku but not as much as the first one and I'm not gonna critizise the animation like other people do considering the change of studios. I'd like to believe that the next part 3 will focus more on the world building outside of the academy and I'll see that for myself thank you very much. |

| Awwwww my HEART man this episode was SO sweet. Getting me a bit emotional LOL I love them two together. Sylphie best girl for sure. And did Rudy just propose like that?? And she said yes I guess?? Damn XD lol pretty cool Very heartwarming. Real nice finish to the season. I am worried that Rudy is not completely over Eris though.. Like what if they run into her on their travels? He better be 100% dedicated to Sylphie now so she doesn't get hurt. Great season overall. The second half was a lot stronger than the first. 9/10 for me |

| I think my cheeks are now hurting a bit all thanks to this episode having me smiling for so long! XD Despite Sylphie's confession as well as Rudeus's return confession to her, it was enough to sort out the erectile dysfunction issue that has been a bane in Rudeus for too long now. Thankfully, Ariel and Luke were on hand to help out as much as they could to try and push Sylphie over that line. The plan seemed to have worked considering how success the build-up towards that moment in Rudeus's room went, although seeing him wake up and not seeing Sylphie lying with him did evoke bad memories of what he went through with Eris back in the previous season. Thankfully, he didn't have to worry anymore, as Sylphie came into his room to greet him, leading Rudeus to hug Sylphie, breaking down in tears while saying thank you to her. With that, all of the blockades effecting Rudeus's manhood has finally been fully removed. The following scene with Rudeus bowing in front of Ariel had him declare that not only will he protect Sylphie, but he also vows to marry her, in which she seems to be very happy with that. =) Overall, I've really enjoyed the first half of season two a lot. It does feel slower compared to the previous season, but as always, the visuals and animation quality were still great and the character development, through its ups and downs, have been very satisfying to see it unfold. The wait for the second half next spring will feel long, but I'm sure it'll be worth it. =P |
