Spy x Family

The basic concepts are definitely similar. Both shows feature an unconventional family dynamic made up of two adults in dangerous fields of work (spies and assassins) who end up adopting daughters and the comedy elements revolve around these dangerous people trying to navigate parenthood. I feel like Spy x Family is more suited to those who prefer more ridiculous comedic elements and Buddy Daddies is more suited to people who prefer comedy that's a little more grounded. Buddy Daddies is a grittier show with considerably darker moments and themes at times but both are brilliantly funny and surprisingly wholesome. If you want a sweet family story with a little grit thrown in then both of these are good choices. read more 

Similar premise - young naive girl is put under care of an older character with a shady occupation. However, Hinamatsuri generally outshines Spy x Family by having more enjoyable and characterized characters and a visually more intriguing art style and animation. The comedic hijinks in Hinamatsuri are enhanced by a plot that simply doesn't take itself super seriously and avoids having to suspend your disbelief for episodes at a time. And simply, it's more fun. 

Very similar vibe. Plot progression, but a lot of filler slice of life episodes. Very cozy atmosphere and wholesome content 

Even the overpowered scary male leads have things they're not experts in. Child-raising. That said, when they do -- it's wholesome and comedic -- and they're usually the best at it. Anya and Yaeka are the cutest children with great voice actors who get across their youthful energy. If you're looking for clearer skin and a light easy anime that has beautiful art - this is the one for you.  

Both are Victorian era spy thrillers set in European countries with mind games and deception. The main casts try to blend in with the civilian population by being students 

Characters with extraordinary abilities trying to keep their cover in series combining slice-of-life, thriller and action. FMP is set in a timeline where the cold war didn't end. It follows mercenary and former child soldier Sousuke in his mission to guard telepathic schoolgirl Kaname. Military-minded Sousuke often struggles with blending into normal school life, interacting with characters in a very soldier-like manner. Spy x Family has a cold war-inspired setting. It follows top spy Loid who has been given his toughest mission yet; pretend to raise a family in order to infiltrate a school. Along with his psychic daughter Yor and assassin wife Yor, all three often come close to revealing their identities through the actions they take given their abnormal backgrounds.  read more 

Both involves certain individuals who found themselves drafted into service by a suave guy.  

Same family feels  

A single man who gets stuck with an adolescent child and has to learn how to be a father. Both shows have a similar mother figure who comes in to help raise the child as well as a theme around school. I assume they end the same. 

Maybe it's only me but i think these shows have some similitaries and both of them make us want to know more about the background of the characters and also the finality of the story  

This is mostly a recommendation from me because Saiki has psychic powers like Anya, while this really isn't a family show Saiki's parents are really lovable people too. 

These two animated shows differ a lot, however they have many common elements. Both present hardships of properly raising a child that had to spend some time in the orphanage by people who were not ready for such task (whether they were the kid's relatives or complete strangers), but had to switch into parents replacement because of certain things happening in their lives. 

Both series are comedies with a certain sense of the absurd, focusing on characters who are trying their best to hide their secret identities. Spy x Family includes family drama and spy fiction elements into its psuedo-historical setting, while 4-Nin is a school-based comedy and leans more into the absurd than Spyfa does. 

Kakushigoto is a comedy about a single father who is very awkward that raising his only child. While, there are many differences, I highly recommend both series.  

Both are wholesome child parenting animes. What more to say? 

Both shows are over-the-top comedies involving unlikely characters in a domestic situation. True, the animation in Gokushufudou is...lacking, to say the least, but the music and voice acting more than make up for it - another trait that it shares with Spy x Family, in my opinion. 

Both shows have incredibly cute toddler-range girls who make extremely silly faces. The girls and their affinity for their parents and making them happy are super similar! 

Both series are based on the child-parent relationship. During which the parent changes thanks to the child, all served in a comedic nad wholesome way 

Even though Spy x Family have less of a cultural influence and take a more slice of life aproach compared to Cowboy Bebop, both are about characters you grow to love over the course of the series, characters with their own personal issues brought together by the circunstances and who forge strong bonds with each other while living their everyday lives together. If you like that aspect in one of the series, there is a chance that you may like the other too. 

Despite a slight difference in genres with the element of childcare mixed in, Both centre around Spies and Assassins set in a European Setting where secret missions involve facing the underground in order to maintain a status quo between organisations. Unlikely bonds between Spies and Assassins are formed in order achieve a mutual goal of a grand scheme set by the higher authorities. Noir is more serious in nature whereas SpyFam is more lighthearted. 

Both centre around childcare; between the child who has wisdom beyond their age amongst strangers along with an ensemble cast of characters who unwittingly care for them despite their non-filial yet warm connection. It sure to pull the heart strings of familial love. 

Same main casts (Loid = Hachiman; Yor = Yukinon) Same energy Both are superbly hilarious and entertaining to watch Both are masterpieces in the entire lifetime of anime. You don't watch either one of it, you are missing two funniest anime in the entire mankind.  

Kid energy between Spy x Family's Anya and her friends at school feels similar to Kodocha 

Both are more family-oriented animes. They both are really amazing animes. Violet is a automemories doll basically she types up letters. Spy x Family is basically a secret family under the disguise of a normal family. Both are quite nice, Spy X Family is more comedic though, 

Both Mc looks alike are alike in approach to women. Loid Forger previous life before spy x family... thinking about its like Ichika became Yor... if you watch Koikimo then Spy Family is like both Mc were recasted for another anime. 

Both Are Hilariously Funny, Casual Viewing, With Lots of Hijinks and Lovable Characters You Won't Want to Stop Watching. 

Spy x Family reminded me a lot of the earlier arcs of HxH. - Colorful, fun main cast of characters, each with near-equal screentime and individual character arcs - Episode 4's entrance to the interview and Episode 10's dodgeball game reminded me a lot of the Hunter Exam and Greed Island arcs - Both have a silent "x" in their names... 

koroshi ai has two assassins meanwhile with spy x family it has one assassin and one spy, however these two are similar because it hints romance between the two leads. although there is no family theme in koroshi ai because it is much serious than the light hearted themed spy x family, both are enjoyable <3 

Although their themes are not related, I find out that Kotoura and Anya have the ability to know the people’s minds without them knowing it, basically mind reading. Sometimes these know whenever Kotoura and Anya reveal secrets. 

This seems like a weird comparison, but I'll explain. Spy x Family and Vivy are both animated by the same studio; Wit. One of Spy x Family's most underrated aspects is it's action scenes, which are strikingly similar to Vivy's. The choreography and animation are done in almost the same way, so if you like the action and combat in one of these shows, you'll like it in the other.  

Both of them are shonens about a makeshift family who happen to be spies with a lot of fun and comedic moments and badass characters, Although this one does not have an Anya like character it does favor more wacky character designs 

Spy theme. 

"...without this work, Anya of SPY x FAMILY might not have been born..." Like SxF, Aishiteruze Baby is a childcare story with a male lead becoming the caretaker of a young girl. Kippei is a high school boy who becomes the guardian of his 5-year-old niece, while also developing a relationship with a girl his age. It's extremely cute, but also more willing to deal seriously with harsher and dramatic themes like abandonment, stalking, and unrequited love than SxF is. Aishiteruze Baby was integral to the development of SxF - from the Commentary of SPY x FAMILY Volume 2: "What has influenced your writing Endo [Author of SPY x FAMILY]: It's Aishiteruze Baby... I fell in love with it. Yuzuyu-chan is so cute. I had no interest in drawing children before, so this is the work that inspired me to try drawing a 'small child character.' Lin: In other words, without this work, Anya of SPY x FAMILY might not have been born..." "Inspiration for the manga [SPY x FAMILY]: Endo: I thought I'd try to create a comedy manga without too much effort, but I pulled out a romantic comedy story about Medusa that I'd thought of a long time ago and mixed it with elements from the manga Aishiteruze Baby by Yoko Maki that I will mention later, and this is what I came up with." read more 

Spy x Family is a more serious and less rom com version of Rent A Girlfriend. Both animes involve some transactional relationship that require both the guy and the girl to keep up a false appearance in which they're dating (marriage in Spy X Family's case). Kazuya and Yor feel the pressure from their peers and family to have a partner while Chizuru and Loid have career related reasons as to why they're doing this false relationship. Of course both animes would have them fall in love eventually. 

for those fans of yor... dont miss this anime... we get to see yor on steroids once more. in both very action packed anime... but this time we get a yor that kills kaiju. 

Unrelated father and mother each have to adopt and care for an unrelated daughter, both fathers and mothers try to conceal their identity in the normal world, unless if they’re doing something important like fighting crime, enemies and such. 

Both have a cold war like feel to it and have a colorful cast of characters and humor in it as well too. 

Sleepy from Mad Bull 34 and Loid, Yor from Spy x Family are scarier than your regular cops/spies and are perfectly delighted with killing with 1 member on their team that are spooked by them, Rookie cop Daizaburo and adopted child Anya. You will receive both EXPLOSIVE action racing against the clock countdown fashion, dirty tactics from criminals, and hostage situations. 

Bao Mu is like how Spy x Family would be if it went a bad end. That is Loid wants to kill Anya for the mission, but Yor is choosing to kill Loid over killing Anya. 

Urasawa Naoki's Monster and Spy x Family find thematic resonance in their ability to craft intricate narratives within the backdrop of the divided Soviet Block between East and West Germany. While Monster delves into a suspenseful thriller centered on a doctor's pursuit of a mysterious killer, set against the tensions of the Cold War era, Spy x Family utilizes a similarly divided setting to infuse its spy-centric comedy with layers of intrigue. In both stories, the intricacies of espionage, clashing battle of wits and the complexities of personal connections are masterfully intertwined, ultimately highlighting the human experiences that transcend political barriers. The contrasting struggles faced by characters in the East and West serve as a compelling backdrop that enriches their individual journeys, making both narratives a captivating exploration of the human mind within the context of a divided world where nothing is as it seems. Moreover, by featuring late 70s superhero cartoons present in each series, further added a layer of meta element. read more 

Both series have a great cast of characters in a spy/criminal/underground theme.  

The sister somewhat resembles Anya. The MC somewhat resembles Anya's parents. With so many overpowered, unlikely, and supernatural things, I'd say that you should consider watching Spy x Family if you like this anime. 

Spy X Family and Lupin III are action comedy series that brilliantly uses stock characters to create its humour through their actions and interactions. Lupin III follows a gentleman thief, a gunslinger, a ronin, and a femme fatale who are often working together to carry out heists. Spy X Family follows a spy, an assassin, and an esper who are hiding their identifies from each other while pretending to be a family for their own individual goals. You could not consider a better follow-up series than this recommendation. 

Both are about found families of odd balls finding a place they belong, have highly competent male leads with blond hair, and are set European style countries. The hunour in both is also similar.  

Comedy centered around a young girl where, despite everything else, a lot of scary/powerful adults play into her hand. Even though there's a small hint of politics, war and more serious stuff, all of it is actually really laid-back and a lot of fun.

the story is looking similar with the anya forger story in school . sakura mikan is happy energy people same like anya forger and damian desmond is very same with hyuga natsume tsundere boy 

This might sound odd in regards to the fact that it's even a recommendation, but I'll just mention it as it is my opinion on the matter. For years, we've watched anime with larger than life heroes and villains, most of which have accomplished a lot and established themselves as separable from the common kin, and can do things that no normal man cannot. Back when I was watching Naruto Shippuden, I saw this one filler moment; specifically an entire episode purely based on Itachi cooking eggs. And it just dawned on me, for someone as skillful as Itachi; someone who's mastered all in terms of becoming a ninja and can complete a mission given to him, no matter how heartbreaking or mentally it would affect him; he was dedicated to his missions. And to be honest, I always found him rather interesting .. in the funny idea of not being able to cook eggs properly. It was rather humbling. These two anime are a great match, as they show characters in situations where they have be like everyone else, and in my opinion, it's one of the coolest ideas ever in fiction. xD Think of Arnold Schwarzenneger's Kindergarten Cop or say, Jackie Chan's Rob-B Hood. (Check those out btw, they're good) Because it throws in a character in situations, where in my opinion, makes us feel like we're learning what they're learning. And that's awesome, and pretty humbling, too. If you like the one, you'll also like the other as both can be pretty funny as well. I think, in my opinion, you'll enjoy these 2 series. Even if they're clearly few and far in between in terms of the "type" of story. read more 

Seeing that no one made this very obvious connection before me, thought I might chip in. Both Joker Game and Spy x Family are shows about espionage. Joker Game has a WWII theme into it, as it portrays Japanese spies and counter-spies doing their work both against the Allies and Germans during the 1940s. Spy x Family takes place in a fictional East Germany of the 1960s where a West German spy has to form a fake family in order to infiltrate a ruling-elite circle. Both shows portray a lot of realistic espionage themes in it, not shying away of exposing this dirty world to the masses. I would say though that Joker Game is a lot more rooted in reality and cold, while Spy x Family also contains a lot of humorist elements to it - it's also a family sitcom at the same time as a spy show. I suppose it's Joker Game not being very popular at its time that made people forget it existed. read more

Both focus around partnerships of characters that are like polar opposites of each other personality wise have psychic powers and taking on objectives and a bigger conspiracy ahead as well too.
