I thoroughly enjoy anime with a good romance story and this gave me that. For the most part, i understood each character's motivation and reasoning. I felt like each character had a purpose and that is something many anime fail in. I really enjoyed the relationship between Tanabe and Hachimaki. They really worked well together and I liked Tanabe's effect on Hachimaki.

The reason why I give this anime an 8 is because first two-thirds of the anime was amazing, but I started to lose interest in the last third of the anime and although I did somewhat understand the characters motivations at that moment and time, I just couldn't connect with the characters. I almost wanted to give it a 6 or 7, but they NAILED the ending so I had to give it an 8. Plus the first two-thirds of the anime was great and I don't want to punish a small portion of the anime.

Overall a great and heartwarming anime that focuses on character development and not on fan service. I wish I could find more anime like this. Also, this is the first time I've watched anything related to space(anime), so I was very pleased with this anime. I would definitely recommend it to others who like romance/drama/space.
