Non Non Biyori

Non Non Biyori has a laid-back slice of country life appeal, that is similar to ARIA's slice-of-Venetian every day life. However, I feel like ARIA has a bit more depth to it overall and will ultimately carry more substance. I recommend NNB for a nice quiet evening with tea though. It's one of my favourite things of this season.

Aria was a great anime to help me relax and feel lively when things was going poorly IRL. After 2 years I've found NNB, which had the same effect on me. Both are slow paced, they dont overwhelm the viewer with intense feelings or thrilling affairs, but has something simple but important to say. Both are filled with love and kindness, they are like a hug. When I watch them I cant help but think: yes, this is how things should be.
Slice of life in purest form. Without fanservice and weird settings. Both are very relaxing and telling the story about daily life of main protagonists.
Aria has a very similar calming atmosphere to what you would find in NNB, there are also 2 more seasons and 1 OVA which total to around 50 episodes. Aria has in my opinion one of the best conclusions an anime could have which is absolutely worth getting through fifty episodes for.
Avoid binge-watching as it is still largely an episodic series.
The pinnacle of SoL anime that deserves more popularity than it has.
Aria the animation has a similar feel to Non Non Biyori, they both give you moments that will warm your heart, they also help you relax because there's not alot to understand. I recommend watching Aria right before sleep and Non non biyori just anytime. And both series has a little comedic side altough Aria's humour is more lighthearted.
Iyashikei you now, the kind of calm anime you'll watch to relax and be healed.
If you're here just to enjoy seeing the peaceful lives of a group of girls and to enjoy the landscapes, they will both please you.
Both are SOL series with beautiful artwork made to calm the nerves. Also, Alice and Renge are pretty much the same character
