The lives of these characters who are around the same age is crazy and unexpected things end up happening. The comedy is also very similar.

Both Working and School Rumble have a similar 'atmoshphere' - comedy,random episodes without any real plot (this is more true of 'Working' which is similar to 'Minami-ke' in this respect), peculiar characters and their interrelations. School rumble's characters are a group of students while Working!!'s are the part time workers at Wagnaria. The latter is much more slow paced than the former but that does not really hurt the series's enjoyment. Both have bright and colorful visuals. If you liked one then you will probably enjoy the other as well. Personally I enjoyed Working more than School Rumble.
Different concepts and locations of the stories, but similar atmosphere and character relationships. The interactions between the characters both have a romcom lighthearted theme to it, with subtle love triangles between them and an overall fun feel to it.

Both deal have multiple couples(great female and male characters), very sweet and not too perverted.
