Honestly I'm only writing this review cuz there's none of it on this manga's page and I feel like it deserves one.
There's really nothing much to say about the story, it's a cute heartwarming 20 chapters that you can read in one go.
The art is real nice and soft, and the face expressions are cute and conveying.
The comedic scenes are funny and always manege to make you laugh or smile, and the intreactions between the characters are interesting and amusing and have you crave for more.
And finally the realationship between the two main characters is nice and well-thought, if the story was longer
...
I'm sure it's pregression could've been beautiful and lightheartining.
The lengths of the chapters are also an advantege, they're short yet suitable for this story.
All I can say at last is that this is a manga you can read if you're sitting in a train or waiting for an appointment.

The reason why I knew of this manga's existance was due to it's anime adaptation that was rather popular when being aired yet critisized for the change it made in it's last episodes. Hesitent about watching the anime or not, I chose the manga.

Boku dake ga inai machi starts in a not really interesting way, to the point where I just stopped reading it before coming back.
...
You know that there something's gonna happen but you haven't given anything that can help in what you should expect.
There is a mystry but what is it? what to expect?
Well it turns out it's about a serial killer whose main victims are elementry school kids, specifically girls.
When the mother was killed the story really started showing it's true nature, promising us that it's villain will be a dangerous and calculating person, someone not to mess with.
Then an expected turn in the story, a rerun, happens and turns the story's focus to saving a girl named hinazuki kayo, a young girl who fell victim for this serial killer.
Even then the story was interesting.
I knew it was trying to distract us from focusing on the killer's identity but it was interesting nevertheless.
Kayo as a character was fine, what you'd expect from a young girl whose being abused by her parent.
(Oh a thing I forgot to mention was that I already knew the killer's identity. Yeah it was spoiled for me by some fan work.)
There wasn't any outsanding character by the way, though you could say that the mother had some remarkable traits along with kenya who was an intersting character yet with some wasted potential.
Whichever, the first rerun ends then the MC comes back to the future, things happen (nothing really happen) and then it's the second rerun.
I should say, everything at this point was fine until kayo was saved from her abusive mother.
There were really nive touches in the second rerun, and overall it was a continue to the main goal of saving kayo.
After that she disappeared for a while before returning to be an extra with nothing really to do.
I believe that since then the manga felt like it was loosing it's path.
It was like:
" Hey so kayo we don't need her anymore oh right there's another girl we need to save, yeah yeah aya-chan, oh nevermind she likes that boy, you know the one who appeaerd two or three times, oh but misato is lonely let's save her cuz you know there's a SERIAL KILLER here haha"
Before revealing the killer's identity.
And after that it was the end, this manga lost any care I had for it, it completely lost my attention. It was all pages of nonsense and nonsense and nonsense, people just talking and talking with no real value.
From the f***ing moment where MC wakes up from coma till the end, around 14 chapters, of bulls**t.
I have never understood why the manga revealed it's villain so fast. What where they thinking?
Did they think it'd be interesting watching satoru (yeah finally remembered his name, btw finished the manga just an hour ago) trying to remeber the identinty of the killer which WE ALREADY KNOW??
Not to forget what they did with the character of kayo, a disaster.
I can't believe that a character whom the story spent more than half focusing on is just brushed off like that!
Only one scene, only f***ing ONE SCENE, where she was holding her baby from Hiromi.
And I know, I know this was to show us that she wasn't the love interest and that it was Airi (gonna talk about this one soon) but the treatment she got was awful!
I'm not saying that I loved her or liked her or even shipped her with MC, I knew Airi was the love interest but god f***ing dammit!
God f***ing dammit.
Those two, Satoru and Kayo, were the main focus of the story, the reason why it existed.
Those two were walking while holding hands, defending eeach other and blushing because of one another.
If the story wanted to tell from the start that there relationship let's say, was something like a brother-sister relationship, why did they need to blush? why did satoru need to thing of how he misses Kayo before she comes back and eases him from a diffucult situation?
If she was going to end with Hiromi couldn't we have been shown just a hint? just a small hint so it doesn't feel like an a**-pull?
Oh yeah and let's talk about Airi, see I don't mind her being the love interest, she's not interesting and a typicall energitic girl with dreams, the problem is that she RARLY F***ING APPEARS.
I mean if I was an author I would consider my main love interest appearing for less that 5 times a huge problem but what do I know?
Lastly becuse I'm getting tired, I want to talk about how much the villain was wasted.
I really won't say much, this was supposed to be be a dangerous and caculating villian like I said previously yet he feels like such a pathetic person.
I mean yes a guy who kills elementary school girls is of course pathetic, but this is a serial killer with a victim count of 30, 30!
Honestly there are f***ing Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi doujinshis that showed the villain in a much more better way than how it was done in the original story.
Doujinshis!
And you know now that I think about it, what I felt was missing in the story and its villain, the thing that I feel the story needed most, the thing that really affected it?
It was the lack of the sense of danger and horror that was supposed to be present in a story about a cold-hearted long-time serial killer.
See I'm a maniac when it comes to serial killers, I read about them, I search about them. And for me, this feels like a half-a**ed story.
That's also the reason why I think it could've been more thrilling if there was more tackeling of the serial killer fact, just like when they discovered the backpack of the killer with the equipments he killed his victims with. A totally amazing scene.
Or even if there was actually a victim who MC couldn't save.
It would've shed a much darker and realistic yet intresting side to the story but alas.
Last thing I wanna say is that for the last 14 chapters I was just scrolling down barely reading anything of their nonsense yet I understood everything just fine.
It was all nonsense.

The reason I'm writing this review that I actually did not intend to write is because of how shocked I was to see no reviews criticizing the show and it's many flaws.
First quickly let's talk about the good aspects.
The main idea of the show, the story, is interesting.
But like a lot of shows, it was so wasted to the point where I might argue that it's one of the most wasted stories I've ever seen.
Another good thing about this anime is some of it's characters which we'll be talking about later.
Starting with the story and why I think it's wasted,

let's retell the story first.
The anime follows the daily life of a group of adults (mainly Uramichi) whom all work in a kid's show drawing smiles on their faces, but are actually individuals with a lot of stress in life.
The story is like so interesting!
You can make like thousands of funny scenarios of this!
Not to mention also at the same time tackling the issues that the MCs struggle with.
Is it broken dreams? Is it the expectations of society? Is it personal failings?
But the show ditches all that and focuses only on the comedy, a not funny comedy by the way.
Now some might say that I should not criticize the way the anime goes with, as it presents itself from the start as a comedy show.
And for that I say no.
It's not me who came with these ideas, it's the anime itself.
If a show wants to be comedy only, it tells it's fans directly.
It does not offer characters (especially Uramichi) that have a somewhat seemingly sad past.
Again, I'm not the one who came up with this.
It's those particular scenes in the anime, when Uramichi is smoking or a character is being serious, and it's that ED.
And talking about the ED which was on of the best EDs I've listened to and one of the biggest lies I was told.
It has such a serious aura that screams at you telling you something's gonna happen.
And what was it for? Nothing.
Alright alright, maybe the anime failed this side but what about the comedy?
Well I'd like to say it was so mediocre, like the most mediocre thing you can imagine.
I do not deny that it managed to make me laugh at times, but it was a 13 episodes anime that maybe managed to make me laugh 10 times.
The reason for that which I don't understand, is how much a lot of jokes are repeated.
Imagine if you went to a comedy show where the comedian just keeps telling the same jokes, it'd be like Hella boring!
Not to mention that some of the jokes made the characters feel so unlikable.
Like that joke about Uramichi venting his anger on Usahara, it can be funny for the first or second time but then it becomes downright bullying!
Uramichi who's a character that we're supposed to feel for, feels so mean to another character for being a little stupid but clearly kind hearted and not ill-intentioned.
I'm pretty sure the author or whoever it was noticed how this joke was that bad that it was almost never used in the second half of the anime.
Some other examples of such jokes that were repeated to the point of being mood-killing at times are Ikiteru thinking of rice balls or having a crass sense of humor and Usahara trying to pursue the girls yet only getting Capellini (I swear to god I'm not going to describe this character because I'm not American and I don't know what dear Americans might do if they thought I was being offensive to someone).
And you know what's the worst?
It's the fact that the anime was able to do all of what I mentioned in a certain episode, episode 10.
It offered such nice and funny comedy but also ending the episode with a serious scene where Komatani talks about the incident where he punched his superior.
And I was like the f***!
You can do it if you try!
You can offer a nice story!
And this was the only episode that made wanna click the next episode button.
Another reason for this episode being the best is that it focused on the best character in this show which was Komatani.
And talking about the characters, oh boy, what a disaster.
Uramichi seems like an intersting character, but he was never fleshed out in the anime enough.
He has these moments where he feels genuine, and he also has moments where he feels unlikable.
Komatani is by far the best character in the show.
While seeming a little mean at times he actually may be the kindest of the crew.
It's clearly shown, as though he might show uninterest in Usahara he still is seen with him in every scene.
He clearly does not hate him.
He is smart to an extent and also a person who acts quickly when required, not to mention his caring for Ikiteru (?). Not sure.
And talking about Ikiteru, he is a really an unfunny and bland character, having the only characteristic of his be his silliness.
Yet there is a character that managed to be more bland that him which is Utano with the only thing making her memorable was being the only female in the cast.
The last character would be Usahara, which is the biggest disaster.
He is made only to be an idiot.
He has nothing going on with him, not even a single trait to make the audience engage with him.
He was fleshed out a little in ep 11 which where he really shines, but then he went back to being the same idiot.
Some might argue that he was intended to be written like this, and if so I congratulate the author for successfully making me not care ever about this character.
Whoo!
I think we almost finished.
I don't really have anything to say about the sound or art other than nothing special.
Now the last thing I wanna add is my theory for why the comedy in this show was that bad.
I've always had a problem with comedy anime and I thought they worked better as a manga.
That is because comedy is written not to tell you a story like other genres, but to give you a reaction (in this situation the reaction being you laughing) which goes the same for horror anime.
An action manga or romance manga being adapted to an anime is nothing much, it's just a story that is being told in different mediums.
Yet a comedy manga is different, when the author writes a certain joke they write in a way where you'd laugh while reading a manga, not thinking a lot about the anime.
Now of course that does not excuse much, there're plenty of elements that're bad in this show either way, but this is just my theory.

It can happen sometimes that a one gets way excited while reading a certain story to the point where the action of not noticing a lot of the flaws within the story occurs unknowingly, yet all it takes is some minutes to calm down and analyze what they've been reading.
Red Hood is a manga that caught my attention solely for it's using of an old tale as it's name which according to my experience may indicate that the story itself have some of these fantastical elements that do not exist in other stories, and sure it does.
For this review we are going to split things
...
into two:
1- The really good elements in the manga.
2- The unfortunately bad elements in the manga.
And starting with the good ones;
A. The main Character.
I've always been the person who hates stupid main characters that speak meaningless words yet are claimed to be people everyone acknowledges and sees strength in, so having a main character who thinks, uses his mind, does not make decisions based on dreams and meaningless words also while being carful and well witted is really refreshing to see.
For example, when a hunter tells him to come with her and join the Hunter's guild, he refuses saying that he has his own concerns.
and I should say, I really liked that.
He is not a "cool" character but he is a character that is not stupid, and a one that I became invested in.
B. The secrets.
10 chapters in and it's already shown to us that the story is not your typical "boy joins a group to fight monster".
And though yes to a certain point it seems to be going that way, our MC joining the guild is hinted to us as a thing that did not happen by coincidence.
The mayor who raised the boy seems to be having a lot of secrets, the hamlet itself that the boy comes from is a secret.
And it all makes you feel tense and excited at the same time, because you know something will happen, something surly is going to happen.
C. The world building.
Here we come to the thing I was excited for the most.
The vibes that this world gives, the fantastical creatures it has, the use of riffles in such a type of story, all of it makes such a world that I don't think I ever saw in a manga before.
It interests me the most and makes me wish that the story will take a more outdoor world-roaming routes in order to see the fullest of this world but if not then I think we will need to talk about the other possibility which will take us to part two of the review-
2- The unfortunately bad elements in the manga.
A. The other characters.
We were presented to a good amount of characters in the first 10 chapters in which none of them were interesting.
You have the female hunter that took the MC to the guild which is like the female version of Tomioka Giyuu from Demon slayer.
You have the typical strong trainer who will train those who want to become hunters with the typical "hellish training" and a test at the end.
And you have the participants who all seem to be copy pasted from other stories.
In short, none of the other characters seems interesting.
B. Please don't take the typical route.
What I believe to be the route that the story will take (and hope I'm mistaken about) is this :
The MC passes the test.
Becomes part of the guild.
Is going to be sent with other hunters to kill werewolves.
Maybe something unexpected will happen.
A fight.
The MC gets stronger.
Repeat.
To sum all this review, this is a story that have great elements but bad character writing, and a possible bad future.

Ah, if there was a thing I really love it is certainly reviewing new mangas, as I think rarely anyone talks about which makes it harder for you to decide if you would like to read a certain manga or not.
Yet I also understand that this is a new manga with a little amount of chapters, so I hope you understand that this is only an early review of the 7 first chapters.
SOME SPOILERS !
The story, in sumery, is something similar to My Hero Academia with the Heroes being the villains this time, and the anti-heroes being the good guys.
The MC is a
...
useless mob while his twin is a strong hero, somethings happen and now the MC has super powers but is also an enemy of the heroes.
If I had to describe my feeling whilst reading this manga, it'd be a mixture of boredom and medium enjoyment.
The story is so typical with it's pacing and characters, some examples can be:
1- Having the MC be the typical shounen guy whose nice and brave and is willing to sacrifice himself in order to save others.
2- Having the MC's reason of fighting be to protect his cute childhood friend.
3- Having a group of Anti-heroes which conveniently appeared out of nowhere when the MC became an enemy of the Heroes (Would've been nicer if they hinted to us about such a group existing).
4- Having his first interaction with them be a test that seems easy but is actually more complicated.
5- Having the MC pass the test without realizing that himself, as he was only thinking of how weak he was and how he has never changed.
6- Having the MC's power work or not work whenever it convenient for the plot.
7- Having the MC paired as duo with another character who he isn't that much friendly with but I'm guessing they'll work together as a real duo once they realize they need each others strength.
And these are all things that happened only in the first 7 chapters.
With that said, there are also good aspects in the story (Not that what I mentioned was bad, it's just way too generic) like the art which becomes amazing and gory at the fights, and the idea the story presents which I liked best about a person choosing what they identify as evil.
My final thoughts about this are, it's not bad but not amazing. Wondering even if I should call it good.
It's a story that is typical but can be enjoyable at times, especially if you want something to read without using your brain.
It certainly is way better than other similar stories I've reviewed before (ahm..ahm...Orient...) but it's not special by any means.

Well, a new season with new animes. What do we have here?
A story about a nobleman who was cursed by a witch with a curse that have him cause death to any living creature he touches?
...
Wow that seems interesting!
Huh? he has a maid with no personality whatsoever and her only job is to sexually harass him?
Oh.....
Ok first, I'll probably mention an other anime, Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro, as they have a lot of similarities.
Now let's look at the anime's poster, we have our main couple, the younger sister, another cute girl, the old butler, and... a human pigeon? I guess?
I have to say, I become so skeptical with an anime where the only young male it presents is the main character.
Whatever, let's continue.
So it's a romance story between the master and his servant, that'd be nice excepts for this couple being one of the worst couples I've seen in history.
I'm not sure how you can write two lovers with little to zero chemistry between them. Even though they have the potential to be a well-written couple.
He was abandoned and feared by everyone, she was the one willing to be with him, what do you need more?
And you know what makes their couple so bad and uninteresting?
It's that Alice's only job is show any part she can show of her body.
Now I'm not saying that you can't write a couple where the girl deliberately shows her body to either show her love or embarrass the guy who has a shy and somewhat incel personality, a good example of that would be "Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro".
That is because Nagatoro had a personality more than being a fanservice material, and her actions didn't feel forced.
But in this anime, it feels like the author is writing his fantasies about maids.
In other words, it feels really forced.
Another thing that this anime wastes the potential of, is the drama and mystery elements it's capable of offering.
Who are the witches? why did this witch out a curse on the MC? How can he get rid of it? Is it even possible? How would he feel if he actually caused the death of another person? Isn't it possible to make him reject Alice in fear of causing her death? Wouldn't it be nice if he had nightmares about that? What does Alice's mom have to do with witches? What would happen if the MC met his mother or younger brother?
I know that I'm asking questions that're going to be answered later, but it's already been 4 episodes with nothing but non-funny comedy scenes and non-romantic romance scenes.
With this season being only 12 episodes, 1\3 of this anime is already gone.
Are we going to waste the whole season like that? Oh god.

This is a review of only the first 3 chapters of the story, and now that you're informed, let us talk about this interesting situation we've got here.
Orient is the new manga of Ohtaka Shinobu, Magi's author. And though a lot of people say that you should separate the author's works, it should be acknowledged that you'd expect something good from an author whom you've read\watched their works before.
Just to make it clear, I've dropped this manga, Twice.
The biggest problem that it has is not managing to be interesting enough for me to read it. You can predict whatever's going to happen
...
just by reading the first few chapters.
Of course, I hope that I'm mistaken and that the story is more interesting than how it seems, but I doubt it.
The story is this generic "Boy who wants to become something so he starts his journey chasing his dreams" formula.
Does this instantly make a story bad? No it does not.
In fact, it's one of the most succeeding formula of all time.
But when you're story seems to be following every little thing in this formula, that's when the problem arises.
Not to mention the second big problem that this show faces which made me drop the story for the first time: The world of the story.
It seems like something from a much older time, but then again there is this huge motorbike that is absolutely from our modern world, which makes you wonder why do they need human miners when there's such technology.
And then when you think that's all, you're going to have people wearing robot suits like they're from The Power Rangers.
No seriously, what is this world?
And talking about the characters, you have the red haired dude who is your generic shounen guy, and you have the blonde friend who's a little more interesting considering his character is different than what shounen usually offers but alas, hope they're not gonna turn him into shounen guy 2.
Now let's talk a little about the art because oh boy it's not helping.
It reminds me of One piece's art, that feeling you have when you feel everything's being thrown at you.
In summery, this is a story that I really want to give a chance to, but the story itself is not helping me with it's unappealing everything.
I heard it's going to have an anime so let's give it a chance when it's aired.

So, I'm a big fan of Detective Conan.
I love the series, I love the movies, I even enjoy the filler episodes.
But I have to say, this movie was a big disappointment.
Usually in a Detective Conan movie, you can split the story into two main parts.
Part one is a murder investigation, and part two is a danger that Conan has to save his friends from.
What disappointed me in the movie was not the action part, but rather the first part.
First, we were only introduced to two characters, which leaves no place for suspicions or predictions or even good twists, because you have only

two characters.
And hey, you can argue that this in itself isn't a bad thing. In Detective Conan movie 01: The Timed Skyscraper we were only introduced to one character, but this movie was not about investigation, it was about finding the bombs before it explodes, at least in the early parts of the movie.
What made it even worse is that they showed us everything, the culprit's plan, actions, heck they even revealed their plot twist in one of the scenes !
and we weren't even given a one proper scene with the victims !
This is not a Detective movie, A detective movie doesn't reveal everything to you and only offers you some action scenes.

I believe it's been a long time since I encountered a manga that made me feel this angry to the point where I want to cry. And I doubt that there's anyone who knows about this manga, but still, I'm writing this to warn you from reading it.
As you read in the story, it's about a 27 years old woman who is a righteous person gets cheated on by her husband and he asks her to divorce, then she's on the street searching for a place to live in , her money gets stolen , she becomes homeless living in a park and then a
...
***** ***** (I believe my English isn't enough to describe how a piece of shit this guy is so just imagine the worst words you can come with ) rude high schooler who is obviously rich cuz how not, tells her that he can give her a place to live in if she allows him to make her life more miserable , she refuses but of course we can't just let her go or else how we can we have this shitty plot continue, so they fight over some curry, she spills it on a very expensive painting and so the plot continues, congratulations ! you've created one of the worst stories I've ever read !
Now let's start with the funny thing, I read this first thinking it's going to be isekai , the guy's name (issei) is a little similar to isekai, in the cover she was wearing a dress , he was wearing a prince clothing , the manga's name (promise cinderella ) all made me think it was an isekai.
Now with the serious things, first, her husbands asks her for divorce and then we never see him again, did they got divorced already ? It didn't seem so. Getting divorced is not something you can do in a one phone call. Did they not ? he said he wanted to make another woman happy which means he wants to marry her, how can he when they're still married ?
Ok, let's pretend they got divorced , did she just go away like that with a small suitcase and some money ? WTF ? It didn't seem like she got kicked out of the house , couldn't she tell her husbands that she needs to stay for a while until she finds a new place to move to ? especially when she knows she's got nowhere else.
And then of course happens this cliché thing where her money gets stolen and now she's homeless, couldn't she contact her former husband ? oh she's so proudful that she's willing to live in the garbage. Why didn't she look for a job ? it was never shown that she did. Even a simple job is enough, doesn't she know how dangerous it is for a woman to live in the streets ? Why couldn't she borrow some money and pay her debt later ?
She is nearly in her thirties but she acts like she's 17 years old. And talking about 17 years old kids, I will not waste my time cursing the ML, he is a ********.

Have you ever had to choose something between two things but felt that you can't decide which one ?
well , this is what this manga's about .
In a world where you choose your own gender , our MC Hinase doesn't know which gender to choose .
adding more to his problems , both of Hinase's childhood friends (a guy and a girl) are in love with Hinase and want Hinase to choose the opposite gender of theirs so they can be with Hinase .
first , the plot is really interesting , focusing mainly on Hinase's unstable emotional and physical situation .
Hinase's character and design itself

is so good , when Hinase has to look feminine , they (using they since Hinase's genderless) look feminine . When they have to look masculine , the look so easily .
Both his friends are also good characters . you can understand where they're coming from , understand their feelings and how they feel towards Hinase's situation too .
Probably , this is the best thing the manga does , it shows you the feelings of the characters very well .
The art is nice and everything , so in summary , this is an interesting manga that makes you wonder how will it end .
