Black Bullet. Interesting title with little to no intention in its name. It is sad to see an Anime with no real Story behind it, or lets say to have a proper storyline itself.
Imo, the flaws are not: Loli Harem, Bad Animation, Bad implementation.
The flaws are: Story Telling and specifically Characters.
Im going to make it short because i want to sleep.
First things of, the Story. It had no impact in itself and was not really are masterpiece in its telling. We had fragments put together to make it one story until you could get it into the end to make it a
...
whole. Yet the fragments were either to big or it didnt fit in. Those were made to fit, which is sad. Some episodes of these, some episodes of that and the main focus in its telling is... it hasnt one. Predictability shouldnt be mentioned. People who read crime novels are practically reading the same, just with different patterns, so you cant use it as an argument for the story. The plot line was just weird, as you could follow it step by step but had full clue where it ended. There was nothing you wanted either to happen or to not happen. It was just there thrown in and you should be fine with it somehow. 5/10
Sound was nice and good to hear but a little bit standart in some scenes. 8/10
The Art was not the worst. Sometimes it had some very nice elements of animation. Though it didnt really made you tear from your stool. 7/10
While getting in to find a good feeling for the characters, the anime was either too short, or as you can tell from above it didnt give out much for the watchers. Experiencing the pain of a child is always heavy to watch. Being lonely is one of the worst things that could happen to children but having someone watching over you feels heartwarming. The girls was standardly cute but also very dangerous. The side characters though didnt give me something to make me feel related nor should I be liking them somehow. Main Problem here is that you have too less time to give them a place in your heart. The side characters who fought with the MC were not really involving, in the way of his life because it was too fixated to MC's goals and MC's problem yet we have to kinda get used to them somehow. I wanted to know more about the professor for example, the children, MC's waifus etc. But they kinda were just there to begin with and MC worked for one of them.
Spoilers ahead:
It also felt very forced to make Kisara Tendo being the villain after MC had to deal with the first villain and getting beaten up by Ayn Rand's little girl who then allies with MC who has been threaten by Ayn Rand to make us feels sorry somehow. They gave the "feel-sorry-for-them" factor waaay too much priority just because it was post-apocalyptic and people were way to paranoid. I still liked the MC and i shipped him with Kisara, even though it was not meant to be and MC was kinda edgy. 5/10
Overall: It wasnt a bad anime but with much more time in thinking about what should be let in or how much of something should be put in would be a very good idea to make future Anime like these great and enjoyable for all. It sometimes felt underwhelming to watch and i had to give it a shot after half a year. Good to make this experience though. 6/10
But still as a side note; we can somehow learn from this Anime. Racism is a thing in it and MC tries (or atleast he tried somehow by beating up the bad guys) to give them a place in the world. The girls were different and they never stood a chance to get a life of a normal born Person. They were excluded from the main town, got killed etc. just because the bloodline differed the humane. In real life, we should never judge people just by their appeareance. Always judge them from their personality because the skin color still does not show the personality. (even though a lot of people still fishing for it. but then again, we still shouldnt put everyone from one race in a box just because there are negative examples from them. Look at Obama and Trump. Two different people with different intentions and guess what skincolor they have.)

Short review.
Cookiezi brought me to this anime, so i couldnt resist watching it.
From the start to beginning I was thrilled, not to mention that they literally got me with the feeling, that flying can be something beautiful and this Anime makes it look more fun and more thrilling.
The Story was the worst part of the anime. It was very fast paced and many plotholes or even many important part, that would have make the story more exciting weren't animated. You dont get the feeling of something interesting and watch it merely because you somehow enjoy it how awesome it looks how they
...
fly and how the principle of "their" flying is.
The music was fine, nothing special or from heaven door, but atleast you can say that this was enough to make it an enjoyable anime.
You have too many characters to develop, yet only 12 episodes to animate. It's sad, since it could have been one of the top 150 contenders with a rating with 8~, but the budget was not enough. One the fatal weakpoints from becoming an actual good anime, since it lacks real development plus the very fast pacing.
In the End, it is an enjoyable anime and you can watch it with a smile in your face. But dont expect too much from it and do not try to find logical aspects in it. It already stops with "people flying and having a competition in it".
7/10

This is the first time i get critical by word and write a review. Expect nothing but my personal observations about this anime (might be very biased).
First of all, THE "Master" of all Storytelling, THE "one" who we know he can make us cry like little Babys with his writing, SOMEONE who we can say he is a Prodigy ; "Jun Maeda". Creator of Masterpieces called "Clannad After Story" and "Usagi Drop". Someone we all know that he can be the best of the best, where we dont need to see the Potential since he has the gift for it. "Charlotte", his latest work
...
is as Dissapointing as the Potential Cannon "Angel Beats". For me, "Angel Beats" had things, that would have been fitted in "Charlotte": Good Pacing. This is where I want to start.
I wont go much into Detail, since my motto is: "watch the first 4 Episodes for yourself, then get your own opinion and dont be the reddit community".
The Storyline was OK. It was interesting for sure, but only because "something happened" and you wanted to know what comes next. The rant to this:
- You did know what they can do and you did know why the do it, but why does Jun Maeda decide to make this part 6 episodes long, when you could have been summarized it into 2 episodes?
And this is where I was personally dissapointed about the most of in this Series: The Pacing. It was atrocious because of the poor divisioning of the Storyline and the bad Storywriting itself. It was like Jun Maeda somehow gave up at one point because he just wanted to end it quickly, or was in a rush because he noticed he wrote too much that would have been underwhelmingly boring to watch. The actual interesting part started too late and with this it made the rest so unimportant to non-existent to the Actual Story. Some parts of the Story seem also to be very forced and nothing is even told about it. But it still was interesting atleast. 4-5/10 would read or sleep
Art and Sound were Great. The Animation was Flawless, the Music is doing, what Music should do and it is making the Anime exciting and not so dull to watch. You can really hear out, that Jun Maeda is the one who composed it. Cant say anything else to it.9/10 would listen and draw again. Beautifuru
Characters. Where the Memes start. You can say there was Character development. But again, it was so slow at some point and you just wanted to watch the next episode to get to know what happens. They deliver, but was it really too much to ask do it faster? You also remember only a fair amount of Characters which are not even the Main characters. Not really many memorable Moments except some sad things about the past. It got somehow ridiculously fast to the end. Not really enough to me to make me say "I can somehow compare myself to this character" or liking them very much except me for being very shallow towards the characters. The sad thing is when it comes to the point, where a character get Meme'd and you are forced to remember them like this. (Slight Spoilers: Pizza Sauce is a Thing in this Anime and it came this far, that people even make fun of it because of it being a Thing in this Anime) 5/10 would pizza sauce
I managed to enjoy the Show somehow, but not that much where I couldnt tell myself wether i should drop it or call it one of the shows I would recommend it to my Otakufriends. The Cliffhanger came very good to hand, so I was atleast excited to know what will happen next. 4/10 would really Enjoy
Overall: An Anime with very big potential and a big Question mark on the Top. I dont want a second Season, I want more episodes and better Storytelling to it. Jun Maeda, you have done it with Clannad with Clannad After Story. You did decent with Angel Beats and very good with Usagi Drop. But is it me just expecting to much? No, I came with very little to no expectations in this show, like any other shows I do because "the higher you climb, the deeper and faster you fall". It started interesting at the Beginning, making me say it could be something but towards the end it was just a cluster of thrown in dump that needed to be recycled to something, so that we get something out of it. The backgroundstory and Easter Eggs made it also Interesting, but it wont really change the Quality of the Anime. Even though I managed to enjoy it somehow, it wasnt satisfying at all.
