Now that this manga has finally come to an end, I can now write a review on it.
Being reading, I want to address that I absolutely condone such a relationship that occurs in this manga. I didn't read it because I like this type of romance, but because of a controversy regarding it.

Despite the story being very controversial, its very tense and gripping. From a very suspicious romance with a big age gap, to an abusive mother and depressed daughter, this manga is for any of those who want to grip onto a pillow so hard, you tear right through it!

don't really have much to say about the story and the characters and the art and etc. itself, but what i really want to talk about is how I got myself interested in this manga in the first place.
Back in late 2019, when the manga started publishing, it got a little bit of controversy and calls for it being canceled due to a "Very problematic" relationship that happens within the story. Two characters, a high school girl, and a middle aged salary man, slowly begin to fall in love, and from there it leads to the mans risk of losing his job, so getting some involvement with the police.
Now I can understand this is a very weird and, as much as I do not like using this word, "problematic" story, It's just fiction. Yes relationships like this can obviously happen in real life, but this one is just in a story, and with that I got interested in it and decided to check it out for myself just to see how creepy it actually would be.
Even though the characters make some really stupid decisions, the manga was actually good and had a good story line. Yes, it's weird, but I enjoyed it. It had some great drama and some really tense bits, such as the high school girls mother finding out about their relationship, and getting the police involved.
Now I know what your thinking: your thinking I liked it and i'm rooting for their love and relationship to continue. No, actually not at all. the main lead had so many chances to walk away and continue life as is, but foolishly kept wanting to pursue his love for an underage high school girl. I honestly wanted this relationship to stop, and because of the stupid decisions being made, I kept reading it to see what happened in the end.
All this being said, its just a work of fiction. I highly doubt its based on a true story, and not only that, before reading the premise and saying "eww, omg that's problematic. Yikes!", take a look at it, read it, and see for yourself.

Being an avid Strike Witches fan, I couldn't help but be excited to see a new installment to the anime series, only for me to realize it was a half-ass spin-off that didn't serve as a sequel at all in some way shape or form. However, although that does sound like its a problem, it is not. In terms of story, you won't be getting one, but that's okay, because honestly, this anime, despite of what it lacks, it's worth it.

see. There really is nothing about this anime that I can spoil to you, as really this is just the whole idea of "cute girls doing cute things". You get the main cast, same one from the original anime back in 2008, and the same location, aka their "base of operations", aka home. Each episode has something fun and engaging, watching your most favorite characters getting hurt, doing stupid stuff, getting in trouble, you name it!
The artwork is something special. Seeing the artwork, you know, straight up, its low budget, but for some reason, and somehow, the low budget makes it better. The lack of movements and facial expressions are simply replaced with static images of themselves, and walking animations are just simply the entire character sprite moving up and down in a way fashion. Even though there seems to be a sort of laziness to it, they add that anyways, because somehow, it makes you smile or even laugh.
The characters don't really need much of a description here, as it is the same cast as of the 2008 series. If you have never seen any Strike Witches media, excluding Brave Witches, you can still watch this and it could still make you smile, but there really isn't much in terms of development. This was made for returning fans of the franchise, and for that, they don't really need to delve deep into the lore. Trust me, watch the other anime first, then hop into this. I know this is a spin-off, but it won't feel right if you just hop in with no knowledge of the World Witches Series.
I enjoyed this well enough to the point of completing. Each episode is fun and engaging, and it's really great to see some of your most favorite characters pop in out of nowhere, do something stupid, only to get beat up off-screen by Barkhorn, and have a Warner Bros.-esque bump on the head, only to have them talk about the main lead in the background, with only text instead of speaking/dialogue.
Overall, give this a watch if you are a good fan of the series. If you want a story, this isn't for you. There are some ecchi bits here and there, but unlike the original series, there's no nudity or constant panty shots.

This review is regarding an unfinished manga, and there will be no spoilers here.
As of this review, this manga is only up to date on chapter 14, and when the manga is fully finished and i have read it all, i will write another review on it.
This manga may seem like a story mostly just there to give it's readers the most disgusting depictions of death possible, but that's not all. This manga is not just a gore-fest, and it's not just about some random high school girl going rampant. There is a reason to why she's doing all of this, and trust me,

when you read this, you'll get pretty engaged into the story, and not just the gore. Every chapter ending serves as a great cliffhanger, having you need to see the next chapter.
Reading this, it reminds me of classic American slasher horror films back in the 70s to 90s, and obviously this manga author might have been inspired by these films and or is a big fan of them, especially John Carpenter's Halloween, as Naoko, our masked killer, seems to be quite similar to him of all. Being someone who is a huge fan of horror, I am really enjoying this, and other fans of slasher films out there might want to check this one out.
Artwork is pretty decent, and there's not too much to say about it here, only other than the fact that the artist seems to go a little hardcore on how Naoko kills and leaves her victims.
If your not one for gore, i'd step away from this, because you may feel a little sick looking at some pages. But trust me, this manga is not just for gore, as it has a pretty decent story all in all and im really interested in the fate of the main character and the killer herself as the story goes.

As of this review, I have recently finished the spin off manga to the somewhat popular titled Gantz.
We are really only introduced to two aliens: first ones kinda basic, similar to a few aliens being fought in the original series. Second one, which is the finale, was quite impressive in my opinion. In terms of gore, there was much more less, but there was enough to satisfy me. If you want to suck in all the lore and details about the world or universe of Gantz, this one will shed some more down. Another thing worth mentioning is this story goes more towards fighting against

the aliens. There is a relationship but drama seems to lack more than in the original manga, however we do get to see the characters relationships change throughout the story. Sadly, some thing in the manga do seem to go by a little fast due to it's short length at time.
If you read Gantz and enjoyed it, id give this one a quick read.
