Honestly hope they continue the series even further. Very creative all round. Refreshingly different. They touch on supernatural once with one character, which honestly has no bearing on the outcome, but showcases the differences and how chance seems to have played in the plot.
Loved it through and through. Once I found the bluray, I got it.
The two main characters and the sudden support team seemingly made ready by the main characters friends in Japan seems well thought out. The tech is still very possible and surprised it has not happened yet.

This is a Masterful recreation and EXPANSION on the original Anime series that started the Whole Anime craze we have seen since the 70. The second season in the original series was even better than the first.
The deviation from the original story is by far superior planning, and well executed. The American voice actors on Funimation are not as dead on as I would hope. For one the Captain sounds a LOT more grizzled in Japanese. In the American actor choice you have someone sounding young. Now the vast increase of firepower and the extensive explanation, all inter tied in is well ...

As good as the first one, more plot ... and I am only through Disc 1. Can't wait for #2!
At first as lost in the beginning as the first. Which I loved. Has similar elements to the first series, but clearly different and faster now some characters are established. But its the 'greater' crowd out there that is beginning to enter the story. I do not want to give away anything. But you realize it resumes a bit of time after the first series, but you are not cheated as that gets revealed in its own time what happened and why... ...

I remember seeing commercials for this on Cartoon Network.
Actually Cartoon Network really did not do the Anime justice. I actually avoided the anime due to the impression the commercials gave of the overall feel for the show.... A successful commercial needs to reflect the show. Co-worker pushed me to actually sit and watch and he said wait through the first season because it starts to really get good at that point. He was dead on! The art style takes a little getting use to. The character development is real key to the success of the stories. Each one can stand on its own, and they bring you up to speed ...

First off I will point out there are 4 ways to watch this.
And there have been 2 different English versions of this Anime movie. The Original translation that was in theatres all over was done under one company that eventually went broke. That translation and the voice actors were much better then the later. Of course watching it in the original Japanese is best if you know Japanese. But again the voice actors give a yet different feel then the later (and first) English translation voice overs. A later movie Spriggan which seems similar but clearly a kind of a copy of much of whats going on is ...

Not Recommended Funny 
This was the first one I saw.
It is clear it is written for preschool kids. My review is from the stand point of a adult who is a anime fan. A reminder that Anime in japan is generally watched by adults and not kids.... Like action seems to be the preference for kid viewing. Overly simplistic story, hero is rather dim witted, plots are ... well... non-existent it seems. It seems to be the source of the further mythology later on. Kinda sad to base a series on something so dull witted. Another problem is EVERYONE is on steroids.... Again this is were it kinda started ...

Another of the DBZ's series I tried to watch but could not stand.
Sorry, but I honestly hoped they improved something. Same interchangeable character drawn style. Incert Monocle and you suddenly have another dude. Shave him bald, another toon.... Add dots to that same forhead... suddenly again another toon.... How about something distinctive other then these simplistic art styles. Another problem is EVERYONE is on steroids.... The plots again are overly simplistic compared to other thought filled Anime. I am sorry if its the art style that really ruins it for me and others. But for those who are attentive to having a more thought filled anime ...

First off I do not like vampire stories.
I just have a hard time buying into the idea of them. Sesame Street's "The Count" ruined it for me I think. That or Count Chocula.... But the idea is interesting.... Style dated... but there are other anime's of more interest. That is not to say I would refuse to see it with friends if they wanted to see it. Heck, at least its not a DBZ show!

Sorry, if your affraid to read anything that puts down Sailor moon, don't read my review. Because guess what.... that is what I am doing.
First off the costumes are annoying. They all look like spoiled rich people pretending to be powerful heros. I think the reason this is spoofed so much in hentai is because of the horrible campy style the show seems to portray. Could not complete a episode without the threat of destroying the TV, PC, or projector showing the series out of disgust. It is clear this was aimed at a younger not as smart audience.... ...

Love it or hate it.
Many may love this series.... Sorry but it does not match anything I have seen in anime. Apparently there are many who do not want to see anything that might put down anything Dragon Ball related. Sorry, other opinions do exist and will continue to Poorly drawn or a sloppy style compared to other Anime out there. The DBZ series is one of the few Anime Series that makes me try and deny its Anime or if pushed will then deny I am into Anime if that is people's definition. This is the Hanna Barbera of Japan.
