This review is both for the currently available 17 chapters of the manga and the fully translated and finished web novel.
TL;DR: It's decent. Read it if you like otome game scenarios with a male mc and a twist.
This story is your usual otome game setting, very similar to most villainess manga/manwha, the twist being that the main character here is a random male character generally unrelated to the original story. This has also been done before but not as often and therefore still feels fairly fresh in concept. It starts pretty early on in the life of the mc and it shows him preparing
...
for the future by securing good equipment, skills and money. For the manga this is currently around the point where the story is, for reference chapter 17 is about equal to chapter 30 of the wn. The art of the manga is surprisingly good, it's pretty standard at first glance but it can be surprisingly detailed and it has a seinen edge to it which is quite a welcome addition. The characters are nothing special, pretty much just exactly the archetypes they are set up to be, there are some interesting developments later on with both the mc and amy (the actual mc of the otome game), but for the most part the characters are pretty two dimensional. This is about all I can say for the manga up to this point, overall it's a pretty fun read for the first 17 chapters, but also a bit preliminary to draw any conclusions from. As for the novel there is a bit more to say.
I would say that there are two major parts to the novel. The first 50 chapters or so are your average otome game villainess twist story, where it culminates in the condemnation of the villainess and the mc steps up to save her. The second part is extremely politics focused. Otome game stories aren't exactly strangers to politics, so it's not exactly outside of expectation, but it's honestly quite a chore to sit through. I do not believe that the characters were developed enough for me to truly care about many of the major developments. A few plot points are basically just thrown aside and the main character has some things happen to him that only affect him in that moment and are completely disregarded after. I think that this tonal shift falling flat is indicative of the type of story this is. It's like how most isekai manga only thrive on concept alone and that's also why you see the same first 5 chapters for basically all of the mediocre ones. It's just a gotcha moment leading up to and slightly after the point that the mc is reincarnated, gets overpowered and maybe even betrayed for the edgy ones, joins the guild or goes to school, shows of for a bit and suddenly all story direction is lost. In this case that moment would be the condemnation. And since it's built around this moment the rest feels empty and just added on the keep the story going. I must give credit where credit is due and say that the second half does not feel directionless. But the whole world, power system and the characters are just so poorly developed that it does not matter.
Overall I think that the first half is surprisingly above average, sadly the second part is not great. I do see some potential for the manga to fix some of my issues with the second part of the novel, however I honestly doubt it will even get that far, and if it does it will most likely not be translated. So all in all, read it if you like this type of story, but other than that I would pick something else.

Returning with absolutely nothing, otherwise known as worthless regression is a story about a person who gets transmigrated into a fantasy world. The mc is immediately tricked and is forced to work as a weakling his entire life, up until he risks his life and miraculously finds a regression stones that allows him to return to the point where he first started, and with this new start the mc obviously does things differently and becomes stronger than before. Pretty standard stuff for a story like this. How this manhwa ends up differentiating itself is in the execution. This story is not really a story about
...
a mc that abuses his knowledge of the future in order to become unparalleled, but more so a murim/cultivation one. The main character is truly talentless in some pretty important aspects and this is a pretty major part of the plot. He really needs to work hard and doesn't become extremely strong in a short time either. The way the main characters personality changes and how his mental anguish is depicted are fairly unique. The characters are all pretty well written and interesting, though it is still a fantasy shounen manhwa so don't expect to much in this regard. The world that he got transported to is harsh, and even though people are kind to the main character, it is made clear that this is in large part due to his achievements (among other things which would go into spoiler territory). In a way this series has an atmosphere similar to a dark fantasy seinen series in that most of the things that happen feel small, futile and hopeless, but it's also not overly depressing. Overall I would recommend you check it out. Especially now that the first season is finished.

TL:DR: Straight up starts being a pedo story do not read this it's a waste of your time.
I wasn't going to review this manga, but after reading the more recent chapters I just feel like people need to know about this before even trying to read this. So this is a manga about two girls who slowly become better friends and eventually start to like each other more and more. Pretty standard romance stuff, it's even hip with having the the main love interest make the mc do embarrassing things though I guess it's usually the other way around. Now where things start to become
...
weird is the appearance of the mc. While initially, atleast to me, it seemed to be more so caused by the art style, it's a pretty major plot point that the mc has a childlike appearance. Not only does she look like a grade schooler, not my words btw it's said in the manga multiple times, she also often acts like one. But ok, this can still be summed up to cutesy shoujo ai stuff however, not after what happens a bit later in the story. Around the 100 chapter mark a literal grade schooler gets introduced as a rival in love for the love interest. And not only is she considered as a viable option, and is applauded by the characters for her guts to confess even though there is so many societal issues standing between Hino (the love interest of the mc) and her, another girl in the friend group Chihiro Omi who has like 2 total conversations with her just out of nowhere confesses to the grade schooler and is apparently in love with her. Not only did they have absolutely no build up for this, it's also just straight up creepy. And the reaction to this puts basically everything else that has happened into perspective. And let me tell you the light the entire manga gets painted in is not great. Now every single thing that has happened comes of as creepy and all the themes which are pretty common in the genre of youngish girls discovering themselves start to seem more like a self insert for the author. It's just really creepy and I really wish I hadn't already spent like 10 volumes reading this manga. It's worth writing this review simply because the more positive reviews mostly seem to have been written by people who didn't read past the first 50 or so chapters. In my opinion this is reason enough to just not read the manga at all. Even if we disregard the pedo stuff it's not really all that outstanding of a story. The characters are pretty one dimensional and uninteresting, everyone is weirdly accepting of girls liking eachother though that does seem to be a trend in these types of manga, but it always bugs me a lot, and it's mainly just a softcore porn gag manga with some story elements sprinkled in as an afterthought. So yeah, please do not read this, even if it's just purely out of principle.

While this is obviously the generic fantasy wish fulfillment manga you are expecting there is just a bit of extra flair that makes it above average (in the genre) IMO. In the 22 chapters released so far all 4 of the main characters get a major arc for character development. It kinda feels like a visual novel in how it does these arcs. This leads to some moments feeling inconsistent or impactless but since the style is fairly unique I personally believe this to be a trade off that is worthwhile, though it would depend on how the story develops from here. The main character
...
is more of a plot device than an actual main character which is why him still being the focus in each arc feels off. There is some interesting world building elements to the story but nothing has truly been fleshed out yet and it seems like most of it was tacked on as an after thought. The art looks great, character design is fairly unique, especially for this genre. The quality is consistent and stuff like movement looks great. Character writing seems to be a tad bit inconsistent especially for the people around the main cast. Still I do believe there is some potential here, if it's not this manga than this could still open the door for better works by this mangaka.

Had a bit of an interesting start and the concept is somewhat interesting, but all of this gets undermined by this weird incestuous relationship the daughters have going on with their dad. Also for some reason the father has to be the world's most perfect man, that every single woman in this world likes and every man envies. Would be just standard wish fulfillment junk, but due to the before mentioned incestuous tones it's a turn off for me. (Also yes the daughters aren't blood related so it's obvious where this is going to go.)
The art does look very good. Characters look sharp and well
...
drawn the fights look good as well. The art can be somewhat inconsistent though, especially with the characters.
