I only watched the first episode. I dunno if I'll ever go back and finish it though. I have a quite a bunch of great shows to watch before I try and finish Qwaser.

I see. Well, I can't think of anything off the top of my head that fits that entirely. Not a lot of movies have been licensed recently (therefore no dub).

I see. Well, why did you stop GTO? It has plenty appeal for both I think.Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu is also a really funny comedy.

I highly recommend the Evangelion movies. If you want to see where Gurren got their stuff from. The movies are much, much better than the TV series.

Eden of the East is also amazing. It doesn't have tons of action, but it's still very enjoyable.

I don't know how you feel about Gundam, but the 08th Mobile Suit Team is awesome. Got plenty of action and a great story as well.

Lastly, I'd recommend Samurai Champloo. Another one that I think you and Jake would really enjoy. I hope you'll like at least one of these.
