Asobi Asobase (Anime) add
It's basically Super Radical Gag Family of the 90s appropriated into a Japanese girl's middle school of mid or late 2010s.

You'll find surreal humor of all kinds in this anime series. It's purely for experiencing humor with no storyline. I have to say that the side characters made the humor too spicy for my taste and feeling bad afterwards.

I personally like the Baroque harpsichord music tracks used very appropriately at the right situations. If the music were different, I would've scored it much lower to be honest.

It's overall a decent anime that you can enjoy with beer. That's about it. "Meh" as an anime to ...

Rec (Anime) add
What do you call a lady with a dream and a gentleman with a dream in Japan despite metaphorical obstacles would make them stressful? You get this short anime, Rec.

The very few instances comic relief would not disappoint anyone who likes romance anime. Like there are only 9 episodes that is packed with slightly growing "baby-step" hope for the two main characters' hearts.

I like how the emotional atmosphere of the overall series is very mellow but becoming gradually warm enough to feel to warm my already cold heart at that time. This anime was a blessing on a personal level long time ago.

For the ...

Mixed Feelings
As you know the title and the cover image of this "manhwa", it's about something along the lines of the entertainment industry. Yes, making some pop "star". It's has a lot of minor fillers for comic relief, much like the 1990s and early 2000s Korean manhwa titles featuring romance. Very disappointing ending.

Very beautiful drawings of characters despite a reader following the story itself can be a burden. It has the K-drama style 'makjang' (Korean word for messed up situation along the lines of one's human relationship) all over the chapters, but I digress. It's admirable that the creator of this franchise is more skilled than ...

Mixed Feelings
I still remember parts of this anime when I watched it in Korean in the 90s on Tooniverse.

Here are the only things I remember without spoiling but still containing information within the scope of the synopsis and the image of the poster in the main page of this anime:

1. School life being the driving events of the characters
2. Slightly gray-ish tint color of the animation just like the poster (but it's the overall 90s anime visual vibe)
3. Just a very small number of characters leading the story
4. A mysterious atmosphere in demeanor and speech from one of the characters
5. Slightly sensing the hard science version ...

Fushigi Yuugi (Anime) add
It is an extremely under-rated anime in English-speaking areas of the world. I first read the manga version and it was mind-blowing. It was a great reference manga for pre-Qing dynasty Chinese material culture.

Each episode is a flavor bomb of emotions and mutual reliance to achieve the protagonists' goals in this isekai realm. Wuxia elements are very predominant. I also recommend this anime as a way for you to get used to wuxia literature.

Sure, some plot twists would annoy the experiences. However, the flow of the story is very rigid enough to be as enjoyable for the viewers.

Anyways, the jazzy ending song was a huge ...

I have to say this right off the bat. Excellent opening and ending songs.

Despite its overall story it's a 2001 anime that kickstarted a handful of prominent voice actresses. Never underestimate the power of this anime that once contributed Japan's voice actor fandom.

The story flows slower than one can ever imagine, but I don't mind it. I definitely can relate to the slow-paced lifestyle. And yes, it's suppose to be a slice of life anime. The main theme of this anime could be "kindness among family members" and not romance per se. Obviously it's not really your typical harem genre of anime.

But just directly from ...

Hayao Miyazaki is the guy who directed this. Hands down.

But seriously and I really mean seriously. Imagine watching the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie and impose the background of a post-apocalyptic world (obviously as indirectly described in the synopsis) dominated by the color blue and very dark blue of the sky like the early posters or still images in search engines of this series. This would exactly be what Future Boy Conan is as your first impression on an emotional level.

Now I just said "post-apocalyptic world". It's true with the usual pop cultural trope that war is bad, but what is worse? Obviously the ...

Forget the Disney version. I watched it when I was a kid and again a couple of years ago.

Despite the expected viewers being children, this is where all the characters, including the animal companions, encountered a lot of story-arch subplots, sometimes stressful and sometimes not stressful. It's an extremely decent story if you watched it from start to finish.

The main character was witty in some situations, which is the greatest saving grace for the whole story, or else it will be a huge disappointment.

My only problem was that the music was not that memorable. I can't say it's bad though. But some of music was ...

After finishing the series in English and Korean my overall impression is simply like this. Is the main character seriously trying to achieve world peace with her skills?

Very appropriate usage of the main character's memories as a plot device, mainly in terms of Chekov's gun and Deux ex Machina all mixed together. It's exceptionally rare for an ASMR-inducing anime like this, even for a person like me who doesn't like sweet food.

Each character had reasons to express emotions like this or that in every single episode without being very wordy and most importantly with the aid of appropriate background music. Now this is a huge ...
