This anime is an inoffensive addition to the isekai genre - so much so that I’d consider it rather un-noteworthy. The setting and premise is your typical magical fantasy setting, with the mc’s special appraisal gimmick being neither too out-of-place nor innovative. I’d lump this anime into the “junk food” category of isekai because, as of episode 3 when I’m writing this review, everything is progressing mindlessly. I wanted to like this show, but its pacing is way too fast. Impactful scenes will happen so quickly that the character interactions feel inorganic. For instance, there’s a few scenes where Nue goes against bad youkai and struggles to protect Himari. However, this happens so quickly that the scene ultimately amounts to Himari going “No, Nue!!” and Nue finds the strength to beat the youkai. What you see is what you get. This show revolves around its gimmick that Mia is acting selfishly and childishly to prevent dying again and people misunderstand her and think she’s some kind of mastermind. This moves all of the comedy and plot progression forward, and gets a bit stale by the end. While Mia does get some character development from the relationships she gains, because everything revolves around the premise that Mia happens to do the right thing by accident, she remains largely the same by the end of the show. Read this a while ago because I thought the main character was incredibly cute, but I was really disappointed with what it was about. Adding a spoiler warning because I read this a few years ago and can’t remember if some stuff is revealed from the get-go or if it’s considered a spoiler.

A bit of a disappointment. The pacing for the characters’ relationships happens quickly and sort of dampens their sweet moments together because it doesn’t feel warranted. My only other complaint so far (I’m currently on episode 4) is that one of the main appeals, aside from being in the niche “video game otome isekai where the mc can change their in-game fate” genre, is that the villain part is just for aesthetics. The show makes it clear that the demon king is more of a tragic character versus being an evil person, but outside of the anime’s in-universe lore, I mean it’s apparent ...

I’m on episode 4 and while it isn’t an outwardly horrible show, it’s incredibly boring. The art and character designs are eye-catching, and the show’s main couple is cute. Since the anime just came out, I felt inspired to write a review on why I did not like this manga. I really, really wanted to like this story as a big fan of skeletons, knights, and medieval settings, but this story just didn’t deliver.
One of the biggest flaws is how bland the characters are. The main skeleton man gets isekai’d into this virtual world and immediately decides to just half heartedly larp his new identity. I'm 4 episodes in and, having not watched a lot of isekai anime, even I can tell you that this anime is very generic. However, it's not offensively so and I think I can at least manage to watch the 12 episodes of this series without the urge to quit it. As others have said, this show is just a really cute watch. It's a romantic slice of life about the pandemonium leader in hell and her assistant. The story isn't very deep (as is typical with sol anime) but the character interactions and their romantic growth more than make up for it. As others have said, this show is too nsfw for casual viewers yet not nsfw enough for other viewers to enjoy.
